You, Y/N L/N was the most prettiest girl in the town of Hawkins. You had all the boys in town wrapped around your fingers. Every girl in Hawkins wanted to be you, they were really jealous of you. But they didn't know living like that was really awful. All you wanted was someone who truly loves you, but people only took advantage of being with you. That's when, you met Steve Harrington.

You met Steve Harrington at the ice cream parlour in Starcourt Mall, he was really nervous to ask you out. But he seemed like a really nice person, so you agreed to go with him and that's when you realized, he was what you wanted. Someone who truly loves you. He is really kind, he cared for you and would always be there for you.

Steve loved you alot, but he was a bit unsure. After the fall of his and Nancy Wheeler's relationship, he was really careful about his love life. He didn't wanted to get heartbroken again.

He was a bit unsure, of course he loved you alot. You were everything to him. Even if you and Steve had been together for 6 months, he still thought that if you meet someone better than him and you leave him, what would he do?

He was everything you wanted, and you also told him that you would always stay by his side. He was still not convinced. He knew that every boy in Hawkins wants to be with you. He was afraid that you would fall for someone else.

You and Steve were invited to Tina's party. He told you to not leave his side, for which you didn't protest.

You both entered the party, the crowd drinking and dancing. You both walked to the empty sofa and sat on it. You didn't drink because you weren't an alcohol person, and Steve didn't drink because he is supposed to drive back home.

You looked over at the kitchen counter to see if they had cold drinks, they had cans of coke.

"Hey, do you want coke?"

"Oh, yeah, sure"

"Alright, lemme get it"

"No, wait, I will get it", he said, glancing at the counter. He stood up and walked away to the kitchen.

You sat on the couch, looking at the dancing drunk teenagers. That's when you felt the couch sink a bit, you turned to see who sat beside you.

You turned to see a drunk Tommy H. sitting beside you with a grin on his face, he was the biggest douchebag you have ever seen in your life, you always thought why girls tried to get this shithead's attention.

He draped an arm around your shoulders.
"Hey, beautiful"

"What do you want?!", you said, moving away as his hand falls from your shoulders.

"Let's go, somewhere"

"Nope, get lost", you said, rolling your eyes as you looked for Steve. He was nowhere near the kitchen. You stood up to find him when you felt your wrist gripped tightly as you got pulled down on the couch again, close to him. You cringed at the smell of alcohol and moved away from him.

"Let go, Tommy", you said, wriggling you wrist.

"Let me take you somewhere, pretty girl", he smirked.

"I said, let go"

"No, I won't"

"Go away before Steve comes and beat the shit out of you"

"Oh, Harrington?
Is he your boyfriend?"

"He is! So what?"

"Oh, well, I was just saying I can be better than him", he gave his disgusting smirk again.

"No thanks. He is really so much better than you!! Now, leave me alone!!", you said, raising your voice at the last sentence as you tried pulling your wrist from his grip.

Steve came just in time and saw Tommy. He kept the cans on the table and gripped his hand tightly around his wrist.
"Hey, let go", he said, his voice growing darker.

Tommy let go of your hand as you wiped your hand on a tissue and stood behind Steve,
"Get out", he warned, Tommy walked away like a loser he is.

Steve turned to you as you instantly wrapped your arms around him,
"Thanks", you whispered.

"No problem, you wanna go home?"

"Yes, please", you said, looking up at him.

He gently held your wrist as you both walked out of the party, you sat in the car as he drove off to his house. The whole ride was silent, you felt Steve constantly glancing at you but you didn't mind. You reached as you both walked inside the house.

You changed into the comfy clothes he gave you as you sat on his bed, leaning your back against headboard and picking the skin below your thumbnail.

Steve freshened up and sat beside you, there was still silence and you again felt Steve glancing at you, repeatedly.

"Steve, what are you thinking?"

"Nothing", he sighed.

"Tell me, you're like constantly staring at me"

"Y/N", he sighed, turning and facing you.

"Look, I am just..."

"Just what?"

"I am just scared"

"Scared? Of what?"

"I just..", he took a deep breath.
"I am just scared that you would leave me, Y/N. I am not being mean or something, and I know you aren't like that. Its just that...every boy in Hawkins wants to be with you, like what if you fall for someone better than me and then leave me. I am sorry for saying this..but y'know after what happened between me and Nancy. I don't want to be heartbroken again", he rambles, sighing.

"Steve, I would never do that to you. Infact, you're the person I always wanted. Every guy wanted to be with me, but I know they would take an advantage. I don't want all of this, I just want someone who truly loves me and would stay by my side. And that's you, Steve. You're the most important person in my life and you're like million times better than all those stupid boys. You're the person, I want to be with", he looks up at you.

"Really?"

"Yes, Steve. I would never leave you"

"I am sorry, I know you would never cheat. I guess, it's just..."

"Its fine, I can totally understand you", his face turned into a knowing sad frown.

"I don't live the way people think. I have a really awful life, y'know?"

He wrapped his arms around you and placed a kiss onto your forehead,
"I am so sorry, you have to go through this"

"Its fine, atleast I have you", you chuckled.

"You will always have me, Y/N. I love you and I would never leave you. You're mine", he said as you chuckled, he pulled away and gazed into your eyes.

"I know, Harrington. I love you too and I would love to be with you, I am forever yours", you said, as you gently pressed your lips against his.

He smiled and hugged you, tightly. As you both fell into deep sleep, enjoying the presence of each other.
