CAPTIVATED (One Piece x Reader)

Tears were streaming down your face as you pushed the door and barge yourself inside Ace's room. You found him lying on they bed. Bandages were wrapped around his body and he look pale as white as paper. He is barely breathing but his face was still calm while his eyes are close.

Your mouth trembled. "A-Ace-sama..."

You fell on the floor with your knees and cover your mouth with your palm. His doctor is already done monitoring  his condition. All he have to do is to rest to gain his strength back.

You inhaled and slowly get up before pulling yourself to step towards Ace's bed. He was badly hurt after his fight with Akainu in Marine Ford. Gladly, his brother Luffy was there to save him. It was a miracle for Ace to be alive after that frightening attack of that bastard. This is the first time that you've seen him in this awful situation.

Letting out a sigh, you sit on the chair beside his bed. You used the back of your hand to dry your wet face before carefully holding his hand.

"Please wake up," you mumbled.

An hour later, your eyelids started to get heavy and a yawn slip on your not mouth. You blinked and puff a breath. It's not good if you are going to sleep. You have to stay awake because Ace might wake up at any moment now.

However, it didn't go well as you planned. You dozed off to sleep and your head fell on Ace's bed.

"—I would've died without saying goodbye..."

That deep and raspy voice woke you up. Slowly, you opened your eyes. It was a bit blurry until your felt a finger caressing your cheeks. Then it crawled to your hair and then softly tap it. You stilled when you realized something.

You abruptly pull your head up and your eyes shot at the man that on the bed.

Your lips parted. "Y-You're alive..."

"Yo," he greeted, grinning from ear to ear.

"I... I almost lost y-you..." you  throw myself to hug him, sobbing.

Your cry gets louder and louder while he was trying to calm you down by hugging you. He keeps whispering sweet and words to comfort you. Then you felt his lips pressed on your hair.

"Stop crying, please."

What he said made you cry even more. He sighed and tightened his embrace on you. Ace softly tap your back as you buried your face on his neck, not minding the bandage on it. You totally forgot that he has wound all over his body.

"Geez, stop crying already, y/n. I'll always comeback for my brothers, to my family... to you."

You stilled and abruptly pull yourself away from him. Ace groaned as he winced in pain.

"M-Me...?" your eyes widened, confused.

"Don't make me say it," Ace groaned, blushing. "I'm shy."

For the first time after you found out that he was almost dead, you laugh. Even so, tears keeps falling on your eyes. You are worried and at the same time happy.

"I love you," your voice croaked. "Ace."

"No words can explain how much I want to spend the rest of my life with you, y/n. I..." Ace stole a quick kiss on your lips, "— am living for you."
