Me and Johnny had just finished composing the two songs I chose for my opening. I decided to do 'things I wish you said' and I chose 'i know it won't work' I wrote that song about my ex, but clearly he isn't coming back. I'm completely over him and besides I have to focus on myself. But come one you have to agree with me 'I'm sick of everybody but you' is one of the best songs I've written.
"Knock, knock"
"Hi mom" I say
"You look tired, and it's way to late for you to be up sweetie"
"I know I just got back from the studio, it took longer than I expected. It took me and Johnny 2 hours with the first song, because I couldn't decide what beats I wanted"
"Oh my gosh y/n, your working too hard"
"I know and on the second song it took 3 hours! And then we went for a walk and got ice cream."
"Sounds like it was a date"
"What?!?! No! We're just friends, I think?"
"You like him don't you!" Mom says
"I don't know maybe..."
Not maybe, I do like johnny I know we just met, but I've been a really big fan of him. Ever since I discovered his cover of kill'em with kindness by Selena Gomez. Best cover ever btw!
"When are you gonna tell him?" She asked me
"Mom! I don't even know If I really like him or not!" I yell
"Ok Ms. Girl chill!" She says
I just laugh
it's easy to get along with mom. We've been close ever since the winter dance back in middle school. I had to go shopping but none of my friends we're able to take me. So I went with mom we had a blast and I told her everything that was going on at school, and ever since then we've been gossiping together.
Just then my phone rings
"Is that him?" Mom says in a singy songy voice
"Yes..."
"Ooh girl answer it!"
And so I did
"Hello?"
"Hi y/n!"
"Put it on speaker" mom whispers to me
And so I do
"Hey what's up?" I ask
"It's nothing I was just wondering if you were free in like 2 hours?"
"Dude thats midnight, you do know that right?" I say laughing
"Yes I know that, but there is this spot I wanna take you, and it's the most beautiful at midnight!"
"Ok, ok I'll ask my mom"
I pretend to go yell down stairs
"Mommm can I go with Johnny to some place at midnight!!!" I yell downstairs
She shakes her head yes
"She said yeah!" I say
"Awesome and make sure to dress warm it's gonna be cold"
"Ehh I'll be fine" I say
"Alright well I'll see you then, love" he says
"Haha very funny, yeah I'll see you then johnny" I then hang up "Love? That's new" I say to mom "he never calls me anything other than my name"
"Maybe he likes you!" She says
"Maybe..."
"Go get ready! It's obviously a date" she says while laughing"
"Ughhh I'm so done this is my third outfit today"
I just hear my mom laugh downstairs
"I'm ready!"
"Good cuz I think Johnny's here for you!"
I walk downstairs and say goodbye to mom, dad's at work right now he works late but it's very rare for him to.
"Hey!" Johnny says
"Umm hi" I say
"Let's go" he says while he held open the car door
"Thank you, you're such a gentleman" I say while trying my best not to laugh.
"Anything for a beautiful girl like you" he says
Making my face blush like crazy
"Thanks" I say
"I'm telling you though it's gonna be cold" he says as we drive off
He parks the car and he tells me we're here.
"Where is this exactly?"
"Just a really beautiful part of the city"
"Oh ok, maybe I should've listened to you it's cold"
He laughs "do you want my sweater?"
"Yes! Please!" I say
Just then paparazzi comes out of nowhere drowning us in questions
"Y/n are you and Johnny together?"
"Y/n is it true you'll be performing as opening act for Johnny Orlando!"
"Johnny Orlando are you and y/n y/l/n dating???"
"Y/n who made your outfit?"
Suddenly someone grabs my hand and we run away, I'm happy to see it's johnny. We run as far as we can. But we soon get lost. Luckily we both have our phones
"Well that was a bit traumatic" I say
"You'll get used to it, it's never that bad tho"
"Actually? I'm excited to see when it's not bad like that" I say laughing
"Y/n!" I hear a familiar voice behind me
Oh no, not now
"Finn, it's great to see you!" I say sarcastically
"Right back at ya"
Yup this is the ex I wrote that song about, why must he come in my life again during me and Johnny's date
"Y/n you care to introduce me?" Johnny says
"Oh yeah um, how do I start, oh this is Finn my ex boyfriend, and Finn this is Johnny, Johnny Orlando"
"Is he your boyfriend?" Finn says with a bit of jealousy
Before I could say anything johnny immediately says
"Yeah I'm her boyfriend"
"Yup he's my boyfriend" I say playing along " but umm anyways Finn it was nice seeing you again, but me and Johnny have to go"
I pull johnny away.
"Really what was that about?? You know he'll tell someone that you said we were together! And then everyone is gonna know we went on this date thingy, and you haven't even shown me this secret place, and oh my gosh I am terrified, you know all actio-"
I was cut off by johnny
"Dude chill" he says
Dude? Did he just friend zone me
"Chill?!? You want me to chill?" I walk outside of the store we ran in and sat on the park bench.
"Y/n"
"Johnny I want you to take me home!"
"Can we just talk about this, I don't want you to be mad at me"
"Part of me wants to walk away right now johnny, but the other part wants to listen to what you have to say so I could argue with you!" I raise my voice.
