The door slowly and agonizingly creaked open, having rusted hinges. Kiwi crept inside. "hello? Is anybody in here?" the room, it seemed, was a library, walls lined with hundreds of bookshelves. They groaned under the strain of carrying thousands of dusty old books. Kiwi almost wanted to stop moving and examine them for a while. A roar rang out from behind one of the many towering shelves. Kiwi looked rather astonished upon seeing the skeletal crimson beast standing at least 7' tall in front of her. She stumbled backwards over a book that had fallen as the door slammed behind her. Rapidly recovering, Kiwi hastened to get behind the nearest potted plant. When the creature checked the balcony, guiding light whispered in her ear once more. "Follow the jingling books- they contain the code for the padlock guarding the door. You must also retrieve the paper on the desk with the transcription for the code, otherwise it will be pointless." Kiwi gulper, nodding. Ten minutes later, Kiwi had obtained all the books she needed. "7...4...2...1...1...6..." she muttered semi-incoherently. "bingo!" "Kiwi, watch out!" Guiding Light attempted to shield Kiwi from Figure's looming form, but her misty form sank through Figure as he thrashed wildly attempting to catch Kiwi. "Ow- CRAP!" Kiwi slammed the door behind her with a groan. A linear, deep gash lay crested across her right forearm. Dark crimson blood stained her short sleeved shirt as the wound leaked onto the floor around her, staining the velvety carpet. "Ow ow ow ow ow ow..." Kiwi grimaced, gripping her arm in a feeble attempt to stifle the blood. She stumbled forward. Door 52... 56... 59... 60... 64... 66.. 67... 68.. 69.. The demonic eyes had returned once more. "not now..." Kiwi moaned in disbelieving integrity at the extremely bad luck she had experienced as soon as she saw the lack of eyes in door 70- another high arched hallway like before. "Dear Lord Almighty save my soul..." She continued down the hallway, and the creature from before -Seek, wasn't it?, was approaching rapidly. Kiwi continued down the halls as she had before, following Guiding Light's directions as the tune replayed over-and-over in her mind. Seek was panting behind her, astonished at Kiwi's agility. She vaulted over several bookshelves despite her distraught expression, frequent winces of pain and severely damaged forearm. The one thing she didn't know about was his arms. Shattering glass rained down as Kiwi ducked into the final hall. She lurched forwards, dodging the shards that threatened to further injure her. She grabbed a silver platter on her way by a trolley, dumping the Silver-Service supplies it was carrying unceremoniously onto the hardwood floor. Chandlers fell as Seek's stomping footsteps shook the room. Just as she reached out for the door handle, two large hands grabbed her from behind. Two black, slimy, hands. Kiwi slowly looked around in horror. Seek had caught her. Seek was going to kill her.
