"I regret making friends with those jock assholes, okay! You can't punish me forever for a stupid mistake." Corl speaks using his mouth but I can read the words in his eyes. He sounds genuine and what he said is exactly how I feel about y/n and I's situation.

"Get the fuck outta here." Denis replies, he's acting mean like cliche mean girl almost. 

Corl looks down and slowly steps away.

"No dude go ahead, sit down!" I tell him.

He smiles brightly and sits next to me. Denis gives me a bitter look and I get where Denis is coming from, he's always looking out for me. He doesn't want Corl to hurt me again. I appreciate Denis.

"Thanks lije." says Corl and I nod in response.

Denis stands up grabbing everyone's attention, "You're a dumbass Elijah." he states.

Then he shoots Corl a look, 'And you- you're a fucking backstabber, you dickhead."

A few of the students have gathered up at our table to witness the drama. I feel uncomfortable and scared to be honest.

"I am not gonna be a part of our little group if you let this dipshit hang out with us. You guys either get to keep me or Corl." Denis looks at all of us.

I share a look with the rest of the boys.

"That is so unfair Denis, sometimes I think you're even worse than the jocks." Corl stands up as well.

The rage on Denises face is very visible but I didn't expect him to do what he did. He launched himself at Corl, sitting next to me and tackled him to the ground. A few of the people started shouting and I felt paranoid so I got out of there.

While backing away and still holding eye contact with the chaotic fight, I run into someone. I instantly turn around to apologize and it's y/n. I keep messing up. I hate myself.

"I'm sorry." I say.

She folds her arms and stares at the fight.

"and yeah- I'm also sorry sorry for being a dickhead yesterday." I pull out the red rose from my pocket and hand it to y/n.

She grabs it from me inspects it.

"Sweet." She smiles every so subtly.

"So you forgive me"' I ask.

"I'll come by today." She says and walks away. Before I can follow her, Alex pulls me back.

"Denis got carried away and Corl is at the fucking nurses office right now." He says to me.

After that we visit Corl at the nurses office, just me and Alex. We have a small talk and Corl seems down. Sub refused to take any sides and none of us have the guts to confront Denis. He just went home.

That's it, that's how the school day went.

Evening time comes around and I wait for y/n with a glimer of hope in my eyes, I even go downstairs to stay at the living room so I can be the one to open the door for her. I tell my family about what happened, mom and dad are super proud of me for resolving this while Rpn doesn't care and Ethan is happy for me.

Slowly the cheerful evening turns into the sullen night and there is still no sign of y/n. Ethan tells me she is probably busy but I don't know she hasn't been picking up her calls either. I feel like I've been stood up without even going on a date.

By the time it turns midnight, I am defeated. I leave the living room area and go to my bedroom. I throw myself on my bed and immediately fall asleep. Today's been an exhausting day.
