Chapter 33

"No..."

I crashed my lips into hers proving to her, right then and right there, that I knew that she still loved me. I hadn't even been kissing her for three tenths of a second before I was wrapped fiercely in her arms. And held against her with those arms that were like twin bands of steel. We kissed for as long as we could before having to breathe again.

I pulled away and looked into her eyes. "Now try to tell me honestly that you don't love me. Look me in my eyes and tell me that you don't really love me. Tell me that all you feel for me is lust." I panted out after that world altering kiss.

I knew for a fact that she couldn't look me in the eyes and lie to me, she had never been able to do that. Not even in the very beginning.

She looked into my eyes and said, "I... I... I don..." She quickly turned her eyes away, to keep from looking into my eyes, and looked at the bridge of my nose instead.

"I don't love you."

I smiled because I knew that she couldn't look into my eyes and lie to me.

I laughed. "Roza lyubov' moya, you have never been able to look me in the eyes and lie to me before. Not even from the very first day that we met have you ever been able to do that. So why in the world did you even bother to try it now dorogaya moya?" (my love, my darling)

She looked back into my eyes as even more of her tears began rolling down her face. "I need you safe Comrade. I can deal with anything that I have to, just as long as I know that you are safe, healthy, and happy."

"I. Am. Not. Leaving. You. Not now, not ever, not for any reason whatsoever Roza moya. Not yeblya ever lyubov' moya." (fucking, my love)

She tried to interrupt me, but I refused to allow her to. Laying a finger over her lips I asked her a serious question. "Do you honestly think that if I were away from you that I could ever really be happy ever again?"

"But you would be safe." That is where her voice broke completely.

"That is what I want, I want you safe and healthy." She almost sobbed.

"Roza, we don't even know for sure that this has anything whatsoever to do with you. Plus, if I were away from you how would you be able to keep me safe, you wouldn't be anywhere around?"

"It has to be because of me because both attacks killed members of my family. Even though they were not even in the same yeblya country Comrade. And I can't lose you Mitya, I just can't, I won't survive that. I would make for damn sure that you had several guardians, ones who are better than me and could keep you safe." (fucking)

She balled her hands into fists on my chest. "Don't you understand? Loosing you would kill me."

Her eyes implored me to understand as she started to sob hysterically as I laid her head against my chest.

"Yes, I absolutely do understand because I feel the exact same way Roza. I am so sorry about your family lyubov' moya, but I am not leaving you. There is no force on this Earth that is great enough to ever force me to leave you Roza moya. And you are not going to lose me. As for guardians who are better than you, there are none, you are the best in the world even if you are not and will not ever be a guardian. And as long as I am with you, I am in the safest place on all of planet Earth lyubov' moya." (my love, my, my love)

Again, she tried to interrupt and once again I didn't allow it. "NO Roza!!" I told her firmly but also quietly, gently, and lovingly.

"I will be with you for the rest of my life Roza, no matter how long or short that may be."
