Billy Black looks over with a teary-eyed smile.

"He's sleeping, Doc. He has been since they carried him in. Like a baby. Thanks to Elaine." He states, smiling at the end. I cannot help but smile a little with pride, knowing the outcome would be much different if Elaine was not there.

"Do you mind if I have a look real quick, make sure all is okay? I will try my hardest not to disturb him,"

The old man nods, still smiling from ear to ear as I walk into the house.

I walk to the back bedroom that I assume to be Jacobs, the door is open slightly. He is sleeping heavily and it is easy for me to inspect him without waking him, he seems to be healthy as he was before the battle and I am happy about this. Billy will not have to hear his boy in pain.

I close my bag, not needing anything I brought for Jacob.  I walk out to the front deck where everyone was sitting, waiting in anticipation.

"Jacob is going to be alright, he just needs to sleep it off, gain some energy. He should be all good to go in a couple of days. I will come back by and check on him soon,"  Billy nods and holds out his hand, shaking mine.

I walk back to my car, put the medical bag back in the back, and head across the street to Sam's. I walk through the yard, it is a nicer night tonight than it was last night and I am silently cursing God under my breath.

I knock on Sam and Emily's front door, waiting a moment for Emily to come and answer. She makes her way to the door quickly, she must have been expecting me. I give a small smile, trying to gauge how she reacts and what I am about to walk into. I smell the faint scent of Elaine's blood from the inside. I tense a little. Emily returns my smile with a small one and lets me walk in with her.

Elaine is sitting in the kitchen next to the counter, she is laying her head on it, it is directly next to the garbage can, I knew this was just in case she threw up again.

She doesn't raise her head when I walk in and this scares me a little., until I feel Emily touch my shoulder. "She just fell asleep. I didn't want to wake her. The last time she threw up was ten minutes ago, it was mostly bile with a little blood. She isn't bleeding from her head any longer, it looks like it is healing fairly quickly. The biggest problem would be the wrist. She voiced some concern before passing out." Emily explained. I was thankful Elaine was finally sleeping and as I bent down to get a better look at her, she looked pretty peaceful.

"Thank you, Emily. I am going to be taking her home and will check on that wrist as soon as we get there, I want to give her some time to rest." Emily nods, understanding what I am saying. I go back to Elaine,

" Elaine, sweetheart, it's me. I am going to lift you now. I just want to give you some warning."

I hear her hum in acknowledgment and I slowly lift her onto the chair.

I walk out of the house carefully, saying goodbye and thank you to Emily and Sam, who had just returned from across the street.

I had already lowered the passenger side door so that she could lay, I set her down softly and hear her groan a little before walking over to my side of the car.

The drive home is silent for a couple of minutes and then I hear Elaine whisper, "Play some music please, it's too quiet in here."

I almost chuckle a little at this and turn on the music.

Alice's POV

The rest of us stay in the field for a while, we lay Bree down under a tree, trying to piece her back together. It reminded me of what we did for Lane when she healed Bella. Something about it made me shiver.
