"No, sweetie, I promise I have full control. No, no, I wasn't seriously bitten. Yes, I'm sure."
That didn't convince me, but I still left with him and Sergei when our door opened. He offered to take me back. I'm tired of staying alone and locked up in a house, for sure.
We are going for Aric now, and I'm pretty sure he's at the docks. Sergei talked the guards into believing he's guilty, and promised them our people would bring them the crown. I'm pretty sure they will.
For Ace, I didn't really know what would happen. I was keeping him under supervision because I didn't think he was as ok as he said he was.
The inn wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I lazily turned the page. I didn't even know what the book was about, and I was 100 pages in. The water was still pouring. He was still taking that damn shower. It had been 15 minutes since he went in, but it was not my business.
My blood stopped rushing. A gunshot. Coming from the bathroom. I rushed, finding him on the floor, brain blown, and a gun in his hand. The only thing he left me was a damn letter that sounded like this:
Dear Japeth,
I'll keep it short. No hidden meanings. No lachrymatory things.
I'm sorry I have to go, but I can't put you in danger. Lately, I've been feeling like I crave something more than I did before. Your blood. I love you. Keep that and rule number two in mind.
You have a bright future ahead of you as a vampire hunter. I hope you will do more than I got to. See you in hell!
Yours,
Atanasie
