? Secret Admirer (Part 2) ?

"So, what have you been up to lately?"

"Not much actually. Just trying to stay on top of my schoolwork", I said, chuckling.

"Same here. The final test is coming up soon and I'm stressing about it, and I don't understand what to do"

I hesitated before saying,
"We could study together, I-I mean, only if you want", I mumbled.

"Yeah, cool"

"So, what do your parents do?"

"They are usually on business trips, they never get time to meet me, I mean, they usually visit once in a year, if they even remember they have a daughter", I chuckled, but Steve looked at me, sadly.

"That's awful, I understand you very well, I go through the same thing. My parents are on business trips and I am always home alone", he said, reaching his hand out to hold mine.

"Yeah, it sucks. Being alone all the time", I sighed.

I noticed the hurt in Steve's eyes,
"Hey, from now on, we're gonna hang out everyday, and have fun!!", he said, trying to cheer me up.

I giggled,
"Yeah sure"

We talked about everything, and I felt comfortable with Steve like I felt with Robin. He was so sweet, gentle and caring. I felt like I was comfortable to share everything with him, I had never expected him to be a part of my life.

The waitress approached us with trays in her hands and placed it on the table. We had our food and talked about our likes, dislikes, interests and other weird adventures.

After we had our food, we left the restaurant and were walking to the parking lot when Steve stopped me,
"Do you wanna go somewhere for a walk?", Steve asked.

"Yeah, sure"

We walked to the park that was across the restaurant, Steve held my hand as we walked, together.

The cold air hit my bare skin, making me shiver. Steve noticed and removed his jacket, draping it around my shoulders.

I smiled at him and let out a small 'thank you', I stared at him, as some thoughts ran in my mind.

"Steve?..", I called, looking at the ground.

"Yeah?"
"I don't understand why you asked me out, I mean, there are so many girls, nobody even notices me but I want to know why you sent me those letters and gift. I am sorry and I hate to ask this, but, did your friends gave you a dare or something?", I asked.

Steve stopped walking and faced me,
"What? No, Y/N! I would never play stupid pranks on you! Why would you think that?"

I felt bad for asking him that,
"I am sorry, I know you wouldn't. It's just that, my past relationships hadn't been great, they all left me saying that it was a dare or something. That's the reason I prefer to be alone and it just surprised me when you left letters for me"

"I am so sorry, Y/N. I didn't know you've been through this. But, I promise you, this isn't a joke", he assured.

I nodded, smiling.
"Remember, we had been project partners, like years ago?", I nodded.
"And we stopped hanging out, and then I saw you in one of my classes, you were sitting on the last bench. And you looked so beautiful in that messy bun and your glasses. I couldn't keep my eyes off you, and I saw you a few times. I wondered why were you all by yourself and so quiet. So I decided to approach you, but I was nervous", he said, smiling shyly.

"I thought you didn't remember", I chuckled.

"Of course, I did! How could I forgot that pretty face of yours?", he said with a smirk, I felt my cheeks burn as my stomach swarmed with butterflies.

"I am so sorry that I stopped hanging out with you after the project. But, I swear, I've changed and this isn't a joke", his eyes glinted under the street lamps.

"It's okay. I understand", I smiled.

He smiled, nodding his head. We continued to walk for sometime, after sometime, Steve stopped me.
"Let's sit somewhere for a while", he said, holding my hand as we sat on the nearby bench.

I gazed at twinkling stars and smiled, I noticed Steve staring at me from the corner of his eye but I ignored it.

"The stars are so pretty", I said, looking at the dark sky lighting up with the twinkling stars.

"Not as pretty as you", I giggled at his compliment.

He didn't reply, I turned to him as I saw him staring at me. Before, I could even ask him, I felt his lips pressed against mine.

I hesitated but soon relaxed into his touch, I pulled away, looking at his grinning face. I tried to hide my smile and my red cheeks but I failed.

He chuckled before wrapping his arms around me as I laid my head in the crook of his neck, his chin on top of my head as I wrapped my arms around his torso. I let out a relieved sigh as I felt safe, comfortable and warm.

I realized that sometimes love can be quite different from what you imagine or expect, but when it comes unexpectedly, it can feel pretty amazing!

I MYSELF LOVED THE FIRST PART, BUT I MESSED THIS UP, AND I KNOW THIS IS REALLY BAD 😭
