Invader Zim Oneshots (requests open)

[Hola! Requested by Freedom_Aviators. This guy always gives me detailed oneshot requests that I love! This one was super specific and easy! This one may be super long.]

Your parent(s) had decided they wanted to take your family on a little vacation back to your hometown. The whole summer was spent with nights where you would be facetiming your boyfriend, Zim, about your life there. You even showed him pictures of your family that you had saved on your phone while there.

These many nights led to growth with you. You had had your boyfriend since middle school. You were never really on the tall side, but your boyfriend literally being 3 feet tall gave you a little advantage. But over time, you had a growth spurt. You were even taller than some of your taller family members.

Today was the first day back at school, and you would get to see your beloved boyfriend. So, you got up, got dressed, grabbed your shit, and walked out the door to your boyfriend's house, which was right across the street.

Knocking on the door, screaming, "Hey, bitch, it's me, your beloved boyfriend!" He immediately answered, flinging the door open. "Zim is not the 'bitch' that you say, bitch!" You giggled, leaning down to hug the alien boy. He wrapped his arms around your neck, returning the hug.

You both broke from the hug, you extending your hand out for him to hold, so you could walk together. Over the past like, 3 years, he'd gotten over feeling awkward about affection. The feeling of it being taboo still lingered around him, but it had lessened.

You stood up to your full height. You were taller. Holy shit. Just like his Tallest, you were tall. "Um... you got taller. Just... like my Tallest! " You nodded along, smiling. He blushed at your obliviousness towards the obvious praise. Even if it wasn't obvious.

You held out tour hand for him to take, a sweet smile on your face. He took it in his hand. You bent down, and kissed his hand saying, "Come on, my lovebug." You wicked to emphasize your point.

Zim had never been praised by anyone taller than him back on Irk, as that would be anyone since he was the smallest Irken there. He finally got the praise he deserved. And he loved it.

Walking down the road, you could really appreciate the beauty of the morning. You two were a nice couple, two boys holding hand walking down the street, hand intertwined. A beautiful sight, indeed. The young love aspect of your relationship, many would crave for.

The serene walk was over just as soon as it began, you were at school. Both of you went inside, heading to your lockers, which sadly were in separate directions. But you turned around last minute towards your boyfriend, winking and blowing a kiss, to which he very obviously blushed at.

The school day ended with you going to Zim's house, like you always did. Yet, the giddy feeling of going over to his house never faltered over the years.

Your boyfriend had received a call from his Tallest soon enough, to which you had to hide. Relationships were taboo on Irk as they cloned rather than reproduced. They as well had no need for relationships as they didn't even have genders or sexes.

You sprinted off the couch and out from the sight of the Tallest.

They appeared on screen in the blink of an eye once Zim clicked the 'call' button. You had never really seen the Tallest that much, maybe once or twice, but not often. You had known that they were assholes, blatantly making fun of your boyfriend. You had even seemed them fuck around with puppets and fool him. Admittedly, your boyfriend is not that smart, but that was just cruel.

"Hello, Zim. We need to tell you something extremely important about your 'mission'." The red one spoke up. He giggled while saying it and so did the purple one. This irked you quite a bit.

"Yes, it is very important. You have been pursuing your conquest of Earth for many years. We need to tell you the most important part about it." The purple one added on.

"Yes, my Tallest. Zim will listen dutifully." Oh, poor Zim had no clue what was coming to him.

"Well, we are here to tell you," The red one laughed in the middle of saying his statement. "Zim, your mission was a shame. We needed to get rid of you somehow, but you are so stupid." You could see the light from your poor boyfriend's eyes drain out, replacing it with tears.

The two dipshits on the screen were laughing their asses off. That's when you stepped in.

You ran over to your boyfriend, hugging him as tight as you could. Whispering sweet nothings near his antennae, far enough as to not hurt him. He slowly lifted his arms over your shoulders, hugging you and lifting up his legs over your waist. You lifted him up into your arms, efficiently soothing him as you held him in your arms.

The two on screen gasped in shock at this display. There was no way that this tall man would ever comfort or be at service for this runt. That's atleast what the Tallest thought. They immediately demanded to know who you were.

You were not putting up with their shit. The TV was turned off by you immediately.

Looking down at your boyfriend,  you sat down ln the couch, your boyfriend in your lap. This sweet boy just had a bomb dropped on him by the people he cared about most.

"Hey, sweets. It's okay, I'm right here, okay? Everything will be okay. I will be right here, whatever you need, I can be." That's when you heard a clicking noise coming from his PAK. Zim immediately lifted his face from your neck.

That's when you heard a robotic voice come from the PAK. "Tallest change. New Tallest: Reader Last Name."

There was a moment of silence as the information sunk into both of you.

Then, Zim looked at you with utter happiness. "My Tallest, Reader! Zim is so happy that you are my Tallest now. The others were clearly inferior." He got over that quick.

He hugged your neck, grinning wide into your neck. You hugged back, having no clue what is going on. So you asked.

"Zim, what just happened?"

"Oh, you are my mew Tallest now that they abandoned me. Since I had no Tallest, my PAK is programmed to have a leader. Since you are the minimum height requirement to be a Tallest, you qualified to be my new Tallest. Therefore, you are now my Tallest." Holy shit.

This boosted the fuck out of your ego.

The next day at school was fairly easy-going. Until lunch.

Dib thought it would be a good idea to fuck with you two.

"Reader, you know that Zim is trying to take over the world. Why are you still with him?" This fucking drama king.

"He's not anymore, Dib. He decided to give up his mission." Dib was taken aback. His mortal enemy has given up? No fucking way.

"No. I refuse to believe you." You could see Zim grab at his face, pulling it down with an agitated groan.

"Go away, Dib. I'm not doing this shit today. Like, at all. Shoo."

Dib grumbled away from your table.

The day was spent with Dib being an asshole to both of you.

Once at Zim's home, he just jumped into your arms, telling you to go the couch. The poor boy was harassed the whole day by an indignant child.

The end of the day, you called your parent(s) to tell them you were sleeping over at Zim's house.
