? "You're Safe With Me" ?

As I walked alone down the street, I felt someone eyeing me, I turned back to see someone leaning against a shop's wall, he was tall and muscular, it was creeping me out so I caught my pace and turned around to head back to the apartment. I was passing by the alley and suddenly, I was grabbed by wrist and pinned against the wall.

I gasped, looking up at the man, the strong smell of cigarettes and alcohol reached my nostrils.
"Let me go"

"Where are you going, pretty girl?"

"Let me go", I repeated. I tried to act strong, but his tall body trapping me was scaring me.

"Not so soon, sweetheart", he said, as I cringed.

He scooted more closer, grabbing my wrists in a tight grip, almost closing the gap between me and him. He leaned his face and tried to force his lips against mine.

I whimpered, turning my head away as I cried out for help.
"Please, let me go"

STEVE'S P.O.V

I scoffed, hearing the front door slam shut. After some minutes, I was growing impatient. It was almost 1 in the morning, and Y/N was out alone.

Not wanting to let my foolishness be the cause of any harm to her, I quickly grabbed my coat and left the house.

I walked down the streets and searched for Y/N in every corner I could find, calling out her name until my voice was hoarse and my throat was dry.

I was really afraid as there were no signs of Y/N, I knew she won't go to anyone's house because she would never want to disturb anyone even if she needs help at 1 in the morning.

I almost had no hope, and I could feel tears brimming my eyes. I couldn't help but feel guilty, we could've talked this through or I could've stopped her from leaving.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a soft and familiar shaky voice coming from an alley nearby.

I quickly ran towards the sound, my heart dropped as I saw a man grabbing Y/N's wrists and pinned her against the wall.

In an instant, I raced into the alley and pushed him off her, I punched the man right on the jaw. I pulled Y/N away, shielding her from the man, she hid behind me, holding onto my arm as I grabbed the man's collar.

"If I ever see you near her again, I'm gonna kill you. You hear me?!", I gritted.

I punched him again as he ran out of the alley, I saw him run away until he was out of my sight.

I turned around and pulled Y/N's shaking body into my arms.

"Are you okay, babe?", I asked, softly.

She shook her head, whimpering as I felt her tears sticking to my neck.
"It's okay, shhh. He will never come near you again. You're safe, hmm?"

She held onto me, tightly as I stroked her hair. My heart broke seeing her like this..

"Did he do something-...", I trailed but let out a relieved sigh as she shook her head, nuzzling more into my neck.

"It's okay, love. You're with me, I am so sorry. I shouldn't have let you go alone in the dark I am so sorry", I pecked her forehead, gently.

She looked up at me,
"N-No, it's not your fault. We could've talked this through, I left the house without thinking of anything, a-am sorry"

"It's not your fault at all, love. This shouldn't have happened to you or anyone. I swear if I ever see that bastard again. I am gonna kill him", I said.

"Let's go home, please", she whispered.

"Mhm", I said, kissing her forehead again..

I noticed her shivering because she was only in her short dress. I was raging with anger, I wanted to kill that man for what he wanted to do.

I removed my coat, wrapping it around her trembling frame.

I tightly wrapped my arm around her waist and walked her back home, not even once letting go of her.

When we got home, I helped her change into some of my clothes in which she felt comfortable and laid her gently on the bed and tucked her in, making sure she was safe and warm.

She held my hand,
"Don't leave, please", she mumbled.

"I won't, darling. I won't let anything happen to you", I said, I got to the other side and laid down beside her, spooning her.

I switched off the lamps, it was dark and I was feeling sleepy but I noticed that Y/N was stirring and fidgeting in my arms.

"Babe, what's wrong?"

She rolled and tucked her head into my chest,
"I am not able to sleep. I can't forget that, it was so scary, Steve", she said, taking a deep breath and holding onto me for her dear life.

"I know, m'love. I won't let anyone come near you, I promise. I love you"

"I love you too", she mumbled, closing her eyes.

I smiled, wrapping my arms around her, tightly and stroked her hair, gently. I kept reminding her that she was safe in my arms and I won't let anyone hurt her.

After some minutes, her breathing slowed down and turned into soft snores, I pulled her closer and kissed her cheek.

"Sleep tight, love"
