Scandalous Shadows

It was lunch break, and the bustling atmosphere of the set softened as everyone took a much-needed pause. The crew, along with the actors and actresses, gathered around the cafeteria, chatting and enjoying their meals.

In the four weeks since filming began, the cast and crew had become a close-knit group, and among them, Taehyung had quickly become the social butterfly of the set. His natural charm and infectious laughter made him friends with nearly everyone, but there was one friendship that stood out: his easy rapport with Jasmine, the drama's lead actress.

Taehyung and Jasmine had developed a strong, platonic bond over the course of their time together. Their easy camaraderie was evident as they laughed, joked, and shared stories during their break, drawing the attention of those nearby. To the outside observer, it was clear that they were close friends, comfortable in each other's company. But one person didn't see it that way.

Jeha sat across the room, eyes fixed on the pair. A mixture of frustration and jealousy boiled within her. She despised Taehyung—well, that was to be expected, considering his immense popularity and carefree nature. But her true animosity was reserved for Jasmine. Jasmine, who was engaged to the one person Jeha had wanted for years. She couldn't help but watch them, feeling a knot tighten in her chest as she observed their easy, unguarded exchange.

Her gaze didn't leave them for a second, and that's when she saw it—something that gave her a small thrill of opportunity. Their laughter faded, and Jasmine leaned in close to Taehyung, her lips near his ear as she whispered something that made him chuckle. It was innocent enough, but Jeha's mind spun with possibilities. She had to capture this moment. With her phone discreetly held in her hand, she quickly snapped a few pictures, each one giving the impression of intimacy, of something more than mere friendship. The perfect ammunition for her plans. She sent the pictures to several news channels and gossip websites, hoping to stir up some drama.

As Jeha watched, her heart rate quickened, but the unexpected happened. Taehyung, ever the gentleman, stood up from his seat and draped his coat over Jasmine's shoulders. His expression was a mix of concern and care as he noticed her wincing, clearly in some kind of pain. Taehyung was helping her walk, his hand gently supporting her as they made their way towards the exit.

Jeha felt a flicker of curiosity rise in her chest. She couldn't let this go. Her jealousy was momentarily replaced with suspicion. What was going on? With the entire room distracted by their own conversations, Jeha quietly followed them, keeping a safe distance.

As they reached the corridor, she hesitated but couldn't help herself—she continued trailing them. Her eyes widened as she saw Taehyung guide Jasmine to her room. That didn't sit right with her. Neither of them seemed like the type to engage in anything inappropriate. So why was Taehyung helping Jasmine inside her room? Jeha's mind raced, trying to make sense of it.

She waited until they were out of sight before carefully stepping closer to eavesdrop. Jasmine was leaning against the door, clearly exhausted, while Taehyung stood outside, his posture protective. Jeha pressed her back to the wall, holding her breath as she strained to catch their conversation.

"Thank you, Tae," Jasmine's voice was soft but full of gratitude, her words laced with sincerity.

Taehyung gave a small, reassuring smile, "No problem, anytime."

Then, the door clicked shut, and Taehyung turned to leave, unaware that Jeha was quietly snapping pictures from behind the wall.

In that moment, Jeha couldn't help but feel a pang of confusion. Something didn't feel right. As much as she wanted to believe there was something suspicious going on between Taehyung and Jasmine, a part of her, buried deep down, knew that they were just friends. The reality of the situation seemed a lot simpler than the story she was trying to create in her head. Yet, the images she had just captured felt too valuable to simply discard.
