...beating so fast...

Start from the beginning

Why am I even surprised.

What can he not do?.

"What do you need this time?. More Sugar, Cinnamon or Salt?", He sassed probably noticing the scowl on my face.

I scoffed.

"I actually don't need anything this time", I rolled my eyes while he chuckled while pouring the last batch of batter on the pan.

"Where did you learn to cook?", I asked him and decided to sit on the kitchen island while he added the last pancake.

"Well...I was a shy, nerdy kid as you already know. Sienna and Savio have a nickname for me", He chuckled and I couldn't help but admire his small laugh."I was very close to my nonna, Valentina. So whenever she wants to cook, she always carried me along with her and I watched from a young age. Before I was 10, apart from books, I kinda liked cooking.

So, when she passed. I helped my mom in the kitchen and sometimes cooked for her. Cooking kinda reminds me of my nonna", He concluded.

"You don't cook as much as before cause of the mafia?". I asked.

I just had to add this pic cause this was what I pictured!!!!

"Yeah", he responded with a forced smile.

"Well, I'm glad I could taste your cooking". I cheered making him smile.

I got up from the island and begin my search for syrup. Also bringing out what I'm gonna use for tea.

"What are you searching for?". He asked.

I tiptoed to look into the kitchen cabinet.

What the hell did they make these for?. Giants?.

Giants?...or you're just short.

Shut up. I'm tall. These are abnormally too high.

"Bringing out ingredients for tea", I halfly reveal.

"Which one are you gonna make?". He asked and I look at him with eyebrows raised.

"Oh. Little one. It not about which one I'm gonna make...it's about what will I make". I said as a matter of fact and go back to my quest for syrup.

Bingo!.. I found it.

Who still says bingo.

I do.

I popped it open and added some syrup to my separate plate of pancakes while I talked,"making tea isn't about 'which one'...it's an art. Put different colors and you have a fun, new, different piece everyday".

I explain as I finish drizzling the syrup all over my pancake. I look up at him immediately I close the syrup back to find him squinting his eyes at me.

"Want some?", I ask innocently.

"I made sure to put extra sugar in that and you still don't think it's enough?", He asked with a brow raised.
