I saw him quickly use the back of his hand to rub the tears from his eyes.

He stood up and I immediately pulled him in for a hug."We're married. It's fine", I tell him and I feel him hug me back.

"Thank you", I hear him say in between sniffs. He hugs me tighter and I couldn't help but smile immensely.

I break the hug and see his face all red from crying but he was smiling.

Smiling!.

"Thank you sister in Islam". He said back to me and I smile.

"Apart from now. Let's never call each other sister and brother ok?", I joke to lighten the mood.

He laughs.

"But why...Sis". He smiles cheekily.

Ah!...So you wanna play it that way.

"We should go pray bro", I tell him and walk towards the room and that wipes the smile off his face.

"Hey...get back here....", I hear and I just giggle and quicken my pace.

Zachariah's POV.

I had woken up and the first person I laid my eyes upon was Eshaal. I had removed the pillows used as barriers so I could see her face at least before I shut my eyes to sleep since she always slept before I did.

No, I did not touch her. I maintained my side as much as possible.

But she sometimes finds it hard to do.

Saying my Shahada again after so many years just felt so heartwarming.

I feel like all the weight have been lifted off my shoulders.

I felt lighter. Some sort of relief and internal peace.

I have Allah to depend on.

To worship.

To ask for anything from him.

And inner peace was just what I needed right now.

I had already performed ablution and was about waking Eshaal up.
