"Miss L/N , we have recieved word from Green Co. that they are declining your offer to buy the rest of the forest from them , due to concerns of animal neglect and air pollution" Your secretary Sam told you, in a somewhat hushed tone.
You turned your head towards him, fury glazing over your eyes.
"Fucking tree huggers , it's not as if I'm out there chopping the trees down am I? I can't help if a silly animal gets in the way of the machine , not everything can be prevented" you seethed.
"I understand ma'am would you like me to draft up a letter of explanation to Green Co? " Sam asked
" I don't need to explain the ins and outs of my company to those idiots! They should be thanking me for putting that forest to good use."
"Of course ma'am."
"Is that all for today?" I questioned, blowing smoke into the bitter afternoon air.
" Well, you have the contract signing at Merry Hill at 14.00, Oh and a meeting with a Mr Onceler regarding forest negotiations at 17.00" Sam spoke
" Mr Onceler? "
"Yes ma'am, He is a rising entrepreneur with his invention , The Thneed"
"Hm , and this Thneed , is it seen as a competition?"
"Quite the contrary ma'am, the board thinks Mr Onceler could make for a great allignment in companies"
" That will be all Sam , you can take a break soon if you would like, I can handle some paperwork"
"Thankyou ma'am!"
You waved your hand in his direction , Sam receding from your office as you did this.
"Mr Onceler huh? I am intrigued" You said to yourself.
