"Are you sure you wanna go there?" Taehyung asked, whipping away the small amount of the vanilla ice-cream that was at the corner of my lips.
"Hmm" I hummed in response; my eyes met his worried ones as he took my hands in his.
"I'll drop you there" he whispered bringing me close to his body.
"I want you to be by my side when I see her" I told him turning my head towards him. Taehyung nodded in response, pushing the strands of my hair to the back.
"This is the least I can do for you" he added, caressing my cheeks.
I was nervous and his presence was all I needed. I can see how much my words cut deep into him earlier. I should've kept my mouth shut. I shouldn't lash out at him like that.
I was just reminded of everything. I've never expected my first encounter with my mom after eleven years would turn out like that. The fact that she didn't bother to inform me, or any other member of the family made me angrier.
I still recall how she faintly called my name when she saw me.

The place was quiet, as usual. There's always this peaceful silence that surrounded the atmosphere. The slow chirping of the birds was heard from afar.
