'This can't be true' my eyes burnt from tears 'Is he really cheating on me?' I asked in a whisper, as if I was afraid to hear the answer.
The words hurt too much to say out loud. My heart ached for so long. The pain was so intense that the tears were ready to fall. Yet I didn't want to cry. It felt as if my entire being was on fire. I couldn't bear to breathe.
I made my way to our apartment in order to clear my mind, why would he do such a thing? What did I do wrong? Why is it happening now? Was there something about my appearance that had him in a bad mood? I tried not to care but I couldn't help myself, I was confused and angry.
