THE PRINCE'S MATES

Sebastian's POV

Before, I am just living my life normally like what a usual king is doing in their everyday life. It's boring but I surprisingly get over it.

I sleep, eat, take a bath, granting audiences, working on paperworks, drink blood- I am still a Vampire, y'know?- tour around my territory, deal with problems, go back to my palace, eat again, take a shower and sleep.

Then one day, I felt my blood started to boil in strange way. I thought that it's because I am hungry, but looking back, I made my fill. So, why?

Then a goblin servant rushed to the throne room where I am idly reading a book.

"What?!" I irritatedly snapped.

The goblin looked at me. He is trembling. Well, as if it's new to me. I only rolled my eyes and then sighed.

"What is it?" I asked again and this time, I tried my best to sound normal.

Strangely, he shook more that only frustrated me. What the hell is this reaction, right? Then another bastard of a goblin entered, almost barging in my room. Well, worser than the previous.

But before I could snap on them, a pink flower was handed out to me. I furrowed my eyebrows while looking at the fragile thing he is holding. My heart started to beat wilder than ever. My blood is boiling but not in anger but because of the strange feeling I have while looking at the flower that is now in my hand.

"Where does this thing came from?!" I snapped. No... I am frantic. This is the first time I ever see a pink thing- is it strange that I know the color?- like this.

The goblin didn't utter a word but he pointed outside. And with a speed of light, I teleported my way to the place where I can see a bunch of pink flower like this.

There, I met the being that can stop the beating of my heart on an instant. I even got scared that I will die though I am an immortal being. But seeing the ethereal beauty in front of me who's eyes are closed, and breathing evenly who possesses a jade white skin, jet black long hair that flows like a waterfall and a shade of pink and red lips, I can instantly feel that this strange heartbeat and blood boil is because of him.

The word is already at the tip of my tongue but I can't make myself to utter a word like that in fear that I might be wrong. But when I learned that he is looking for his mate, I can only smile at myself with the realization that he might be the one... my long awaited soulmate.

When he marked me I am happy I feel like walking on the clouds. And whenever I see his majestic mark on me, I cannot help but smile and feel myself lucky. I know that I am one of those lucky beings to have Ying'er my other half.

When I started to learn more about him, and the realm he came from I must admit that I feel small and ignorant. I even thought that I am the most powerful being living, but actually, I am nothing. I even reached the point of doubting my worth. But with the indirect confession of Ying'er when he tell a tale to the cubs in Werewolf Kingdom, I realized how foolish I am to even doubt his love for me and my love for him.

I love him. I really do. I can't even imagine my life without him. I am scared. I don't want it to happen or even imagine. He is lovable. He is one of a kind. He deserves more and better but here he is, he started to train us to the impending war that will happen in three years time.

How do I know about it?

The answer will be, Shadow Elder's report.

Back in the journey from Blaze's kingdom, the Shadow Elder finally appeared with anxious and also confused face.

"Why are you here just now? What happened?" I asked irritably.

The Shadow Elder bowed in front of me and then spoke something that made my bows connect each other.

"For some reason, the army of the devils of Sloth and Gluttony are surrounding the border behind the palace. And for some reason, I can't enter the Werewolf Kingdom which I unfortunately assuming that it's because of the devil of Greed did something to block the path. The devil of Greed himself appeared somehow in the Werewolf Kingdom. I don't know how and why but... please be careful, master. I feel that there is more than meets the eye on why and how did these devils are infiltrates our kingdoms." The Shadow Elder reported that almost made me collapse.

"Spies." We both turned to find Ying'er, Blaze and Ellis the High Priest who are standing behind me. I didn't even notice them.

"Spies? Who might that be? The elders? Who?!" I panicked until Ying'er just sighed and shook his head.

"It must be an elder or maybe not. But what I am sure is that, you have spies. How you find them and deal with them are yours to decide. You are their monarch so act like one. All I can give is answer, not order." Ying'er said while patting the other two's shoulder and left to go back to his business- reading a book.

But if you look at him closely, I finally noticed that he is actually not reading but... thinking.

I clenched my fists and then sighed. Ying'er is right. I am still the Vampire King and receiving orders to my mate looks so ugly. I am still the leader of my kingdom and I must be responsible for it.

I faced the Shadow Elder and we built a trap to lure the spy that we called 'blood in the spy's trap', it's kinda cheesy but, it'll suffice.

The Shadow Elder departed for the plan to quickly be executed and I am watching him leave, troubles in our way started again but now... it's called, Duan Luan.

A.N: I was offered by an editor from IStory to submit an application for either Exclusive or Non-Exclusive contract. And I was planning if I ever apply once again, I will present this story to them. Because... Why not?
It's just that... I am not that confident because platforms nowadays is more focused with fanbases which is I am sure that I am weak against it for god knows how many years already.
So... After the CHAPTER 25, I will start to think about it again. Or maybe, I will submit the story already. I just don't know what will be the outcome.
