"Why do you like me?" I shot the question that has been bothering me since the day she confessed to me. Because I couldn't phantom how a goddess like her likes me. 

"I met a girl during my weakest moment of life. We had a fight with my sister and our family got involved so I went to my friend's club and drank a lot of different liquors. I can still clearly remember how drunk I was when I was walking towards the parking lot. My head was spinning so I leaned my back against the front of the car of a stranger and few moments later a girl with a straight hair approached me saying that was her car. I looked at the car with a blurry vision and called it cheap and I even offered to buy her all to luxury cars that I could mention. She ignored it and she offered to drop me off. But when we were in the car as she was driving someone called her. She picked it up and put it in loudspeaker, I heard how she was scolded and got disowned by her family just because she didn't choose to be an educator. I saw how she cried while still driving. And she said to me that I shouldn't look in her direction or she will throw me out. So I let her cry silently beside me. But that night I promised to myself if ever I'll see her again I won't let her cry without a shoulder to lean on." She took my left hand and put it in her left chest. 

"I promise that I would protect and care for you because that night I know you will be my end game. When our eyes met, I know I'll find you and make you feel that you are not alone. You are not alone because I am here now." She hugged me tightly and I was stunned by her words. She was that lady in that night? I couldn't remember the lady's face because I usually forget faces of the people especially when I just met them once. Looking back that was almost eight months ago. 

I was disowned but my father resolved it and I am now half welcome in our family. Better than not being welcomed at all.

"Miss, that was long ago but how did you find me?" I asked curiously pero napairap ito dahil sa pagtawag ko sa kaniya. I am not used to call her E. 

"One more Miss, I will definitely kiss you. But to answer your question kukuha na sana ako nang private investigator to know who you are but I stopped myself because I know destiny will find its way to make us meet again. And there was a time Marie posted a group photo with your organization since she's the adviser pala and I saw you there." Sagot niya at isinisiksik ang kaniyang ulo sa leeg ko. 

"Mi--" I stopped midway dahil naalala ko ang sinabi niya. I can feel that she smirked because of it.

"E, masusunog na yang niluluto mo." Mahina ko siyang tinulak papalayo sa akin. Pero pilit lang niyang sinisiksik ang katawan niya sa akin.

"It is already cooked pinatay ko na kanina." Simple niyang saad at niyakap ako nang mahigpit. I returned the gesture. Ngayon lang naman. Ngayon ko lang naman hahayaan ang sarili ko na maging malaya sa pag-iisip kung paano ito makakaapekto sa buhay namin sa hinaharap.

After namin kumain ay nag set up na si Miss sa sala para sa movie marathon namin. We cannot go home because of the heavy rain. May paparating daw na bagyo sa South Cebu kaya medyo apektado ang North Cebu na kinaroroonan namin ngayon. 

I saw her fixing the foods and drinks in the center table kaya umupo na lang ako sa malaking sofa niya. 

"This house, kayo po ba may-ari nito?" I am asking the obvious. Of course, it's hers but I just wanted to confirm it. 

"My grandparents gave me this on my 21st birthday." Sagot niya at naglakad papuntang kusina. I put a throw pillow in the edge of the sofa and laid my head there habang hinihintay siyang matapos sa pagset up.

Nakita ko siyang paparating at may dalang duchmill kaya napangiti ako roon. Yes Duchmill. Linagay niya na ito sa table at kinuha niya rin ang kumot na nasa drawer pala ng sofa sa ibaba.
