I look at my college acceptance letter to BYU.
"Mom! Dad! I'm accepted!" I announce. My whole family cheers for me.
My parents then give me a great big hug.
"We're so proud of you! You worked so hard!" "Thanks guys." We then release.
I give my sister a hug.
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe it!" she screams with me. "I know! I also can't believe that you got in too!" I tease. She then quirks and eyebrow. "I'm just kidding," I say. We both laugh.
Colton then comes up to me and hugs me. "You're going to have fun there. Trust me." "I know. Technically, you already cleared a path for Stacie and I. You know, since it's your last year there." "Ya, I guess I did."
All of a sudden, a knock comes to our door.
I pull away and shout, "I got it!" But then out of no where, Sam comes bolting from his room downstairs to the door.
"No, I got it!" he shouts. He places his hand on the doorknob and looks at me. "It might be Heather!" he whisper-shouts. He then throws open the door to find that Ky and Heather standing at the door. "Even better!" he screams, giving Ky a hug then going to Heather.
"Hey little man, how are you?" Heather asks, messing up his hair. He looks up. "Fabulous," he mumbles. I just role my eyes and smile.
They come in and we tell them the good news. Ky came over the night of Prom and explained everything to his family, my family, and some friends. Everyone totally understood, but some of us were a little upset that he didn't tell them sooner; technically his family.
"That's great!" Heather says, taking a bite of a chocolate chip cookie. "I'm so proud of you!" Ky says, giving me a big bear hug. "I know. I just can't believe it!" We all then sit in the family movie theatre.
"So, when do you leave?" Colton asks. I read it over. "Hmm, it says I leave August 3. What about you Stacie?" I ask my twin, looking at her paper. "The same!" "Great! I don't have to sit alone on the plane!" I say. We all laugh.
"Hey! I know what we should do!" Sam shouts. We all look at him. "What?" my mom asks. "It's movie time! I'll go get the popcorn, and maybe ice cream!" he shouts, running out of the room. "Oh, no you don't!" I announce, jumping to my feet and running after him.
"Remember what happened last time?" I ask him, shouting as I run.
