"I... I never... encouraged anything, I don't know why you're ac-cusing me..."
"Because you weren't doing anything that would even give so much as a hint to 'stop'!"
"You seem...overly concerned with t-this and f-or no apparent reason because it doesn't make sense to me..."
He looked into my eyes and seemed to soften for a moment before hardening again.
"You know I don't like it..."
I stared at him for a second and tried to hold on to my consciousness.
"W-why?"
He just looked at me. I couldn't read his expression, usually I could, but not in this state. He just looked at me...
Then...
He put his hands on my hips in one quick motion and pushed me gently into the wall behind me then leaned down...
And kissed me.
I left my eyes open for about one second before realizing that he was kissing me. I melted into it. I let myself relax onto the wall, taking comfort in the fact that I didn't have to worry about my balance. His touch lit my sensitive skin on fire, and it was a blessing that his lips covered mine and would let the noises I made fall on deaf ears. He had a firm hold on me, and I could let him take control of me for a minute.
My eyes shut, and I welcomed the world of darkness. However, it was not bad darkness, it was warm. Comforting. I could feel everything tenfold, and I almost whimpered. What is wrong with me?
He moved his lips against mine for the first time, and I followed. I started feeling heat build up everywhere, and I could hardly stand it. It felt as though I had a fever through my whole body or I was out in the sun, tanning away. I was losing my breath faster than normal, but I followed his motions. His left hand went upwards from its position on the right side of my hip and slid it upward over my side and put it near my neck. He slipped it behind my hair (if you have long hair), and he put just the right amount of force on the side of my throat, gently, to not hurt me but to make it feel amazing. I was on fire. Literal fire. The burning was increasing, but I also didn't want this moment to end. I let my arms wrap a degree tighter around his neck, and I ran my hand through the hair on the back of his head. I felt him tense up but relax, and he pushed his lips firmer against mine. It was like the best form of torture but with actual pain because something was wrong with me that night, but I couldn't figure out what.
When we both could no longer hold our breath, he parted from me and had his face a few inches from me. I angled my face down to not breathe in his face and tried to conceal how much oxygen I was inhaling and exhaling. He seemed to notice though.
"I... I-I have something to tell you..." I said, figuring that I may as well tell him what happened because I was not going to stand by and let something like that happen. I would never keep something like that to myself because I never deserve to be treated like that.
"Mm."
"Well, the... the Salesman... he did something at-"
"What did he do," he lowly spoke.
Looking into his eyes, I could see a fire burning in them. He was completely enraged, and I had second thoughts about telling him. I broke eye contact, and I looked to the right of him. He then took the hand off from my neck and placed two fingers on my cheek to make me look at him. He looked very serious.
"What. Did. He. Do."
"Well..." I started. "He just... had his hand on my upper thi-igh at dinner, and it was there for maybe... th-thirty seconds before Il-Nam stood up. I took that opportunity to scoot away from h-him..."
He was... I can't even put it into words. I've already used some such as "enraged", "angry", "mad"... but those pale in comparison to what was coursing through his veins now. He looked like he was about to kill. To shed blood. Blood, specifically, from the Salesman.
"I-In-Ho, it's over now, so just.. let it go, I won't h...have to see him again for a while. And, if I do, then I p-promise to make sure that I have soldiers around me at all times and talk to them be-beforehand about not letting anybody cross my personal boundaries," I tried to reason.
He let go of me completely and turned his back towards me. His hands clenched into fists and were then held in front of him and out of my line of sight. He growled. It kind of scared me. It reminded me of a lion when it was about to strike, at least from what I've seen in movies. It was deep and guttural, a noise made out of pure animal instincts... bloody ones.
"I-I'm okay... I'm fine...I'm fine...I'm fine," I kept repeating.
I was whispering those two words for a while before In-Ho turned to me. He seemed concerned, but still mad. I honestly thought that when he first heard it, he might storm out, gun-in-hand, but he handled himself well. Now, he was worried about me for some reason.
"I don't think you are..."
He looked at me.
"You don't seem alright. Ever since we left, you've been off. I couldn't quite tell, but I could when you could barely stand to be touched or keep your balance. You're not okay."
I tried to open my mouth to say something, but nothing came out. An overwhelming wave of... pressure washed over me. I almost fell, but In-Ho rushed over to me before I could. He looked at me, worried, and tried to ask me what was wrong by the look on his face. My head was against the wall, and I could barely keep my eyes open.
"Y-Y/N?"
I looked at him one last time before my body went limp and fell forward into him.
