The Space We Cannot Fill

"Happy birthday to youuuuu!" Deadlock tried to shut out the sweet song her annoying brother sung to Deadlock as she fired shot after shot at the huge bear. They wanted to eat her alive and she knew that. Bioluminescent saliva flew around the room, coating her comrade's now unconscious bodies with a creepy layer of spit. Tumbling behind some crates, she threw some shields to breath. How much have times changed...before Radianite, before everything and anything. It's as if she wanted to teleport away, and go back. Deadlock scanned the scene with her icy blue eyes and her mind lit up. The bear charged at her but Deadlock ducked away before it could get her. Growling, the bear tried to leap at her but she tricked the bear to jump into a light teleportation chamber. As she trapped the bear in her Gravanet, she reached in vain for the closing button. Too slow. The bear bit onto her left arm, wrestling with Deadlock. She finally reached the button. Adrenaline was coursing through her and she couldn't hear anything anymore. The bear bellowed in triumph before disappearing. ZAPP! She fell forwards and heard a Russian accent whisper,

"Welcome back."
