Chapter 2

To their surprise Knuckle moved faster than she could process and stuffed the bottle in Pitou's mouth, forcing her to drink. She brought up her hands to stop him but they were tied up by something way too strong for her to break free

When Knuckle finished Pitou had anger written all over her face

Being denied her own death she tried to bring out her ren to scare the living crap out of Knuckle

 However her aura was gone

Pitou panicked and noticed that the thing holding her hands was nothing more than simple human hairs and she couldn't understand why it was so hard to break free. She could see no aura around them, no matter how much she strained her eyes

"My ability prevents you from using Nen and Palm has used hers to prevent you from killing yourself. These were precautions we needed to take"

"What do you want from me!?" Pitou screamed

"Nothing" a little vein had popped on Knuckle's forehead, knowing what Pitou was going to say next

"What's the point then? Why don't you let me die?!" Pitou wanted to argue back but Knuckle lost his patience

"ARE YOU WILLING TO LET ALL YOUR FRIEND'S DEATHS BE IN VAIN OR WHAT!? THE KING TOLD YOU TO SURVIVE DAMMIT, NOW STOP ACTING LIKE THIS AND GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER!"

Pitou was taken aback by the sudden reaction and calmed down

She replied with a very quiet voice, her energy vanishing once more "y-you are right, I was ordered to live..." Knuckle waited for them to continue, Pitou meanwhile closed in ball onto the matress, getting her knees in in front of her face. As if she was hiding "I don't...know what I should be doing...I wasn't even allowed to stay with him until the very end...I wasn't able to do anything...I couldn't even bury his body..."

"Well I can't help you with this, when me and Palm decides you can handle yourself on your own we'll let you go. It's not like we can look after you for long anyways" Pitou had no reaction, but Knuckle continued "now can you promise me you won't escape nor will you be trying to hurt yourself if I remove Palm's hairs?"

Pitou sniffed a little, but tears still didn't come out 

"fine....but just because it was the king's final order for me...." Knuckle focused his aura on Pitou's hands and the hairs turned back into being normal hairs

Palm from the west Gorteou hunter association's HQ deactivated her ability after feeling Knuckle's Nen signal

Pitou looked at her hands and for a very brief second she felt the need to penetrate her own heart with her claws, but she managed to suppress it

"T-thanks" She said simply

"Before we move I think you should eat, anything you like?" Knuckle opened the bag with food revealing some sandwiches, fries , and some other type of snacks. Going as far as to have on the bottom of the bag some cat food -- which he tried to hide at the bottom of the bag in embarrassment

Pitou looked at Knuckle with a neutral look

"I don't...uh....you know...I am not exactly used to....." Pitou didn't know how to put it, after all, her favourite food was human flesh "I...uhhhhh"

Knuckle realized the problem and cursed himself for not having thought of how weird it would have been for Pitou to just eat human food. However it was necessary for her to find something else to eat other than humans. 

To his surprise Pitou silently took the initiative

She took a sandwich with Salmon in it, she stared at it for a second and gulped. She forced herself to take a bite out of it
