Jack

"My favorite thing to do is spend time with Anna."

He grinned, flipping up to lay back on his staff, floating above her as she worked.

"Hmm... let's see. Oh, if you could do anything in the world what would it be?"

"Right now?"

"Yeah."

"I'd enjoy some silence."

He rolled his eyes, a snowball forming in his hand. He turned it to ice, tossing it up and catching it.

"You have a hard time relaxing, huh?"

"Sorry I can't play right now. I've got work to do. Serious work, that could hold an entire kingdom's safety at stake."

She acted like he didn't understand responsibility. He rolled his eyes again, letting out a low groan.

"All I'm doing is asking questions."

"Fine. Let's both ask them."

He perked up, sitting back up on his staff.

"Okay! You want to go first?"

"I'd love to. That girl you saved on that lake. Who was she?"

He flinched, his staff dropping a few feet in the air.

"Wow. Okay. Her name was Mary. She was my little sister."

"Was?"

"She died."

Elsa's face fell, her hands dropping to her sides, a half constructed monster in front of her.

"Oh... I... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked."

"It's okay. It was a long time ago."

"How long?"

He closed his eyes, letting the staff lead him to the ground.

"Almost three hundred."

She didn't respond, and he slowly stepped off onto the cobblestone, pulling his staff back up to his shoulder.

"That must be hard." She whispered, and he was suprised that she'd hidden any shock about his age.

"It was. It... it still is sometimes. But when I died, I didn't remember anything. So by the time I got my memories, she was already gone."

"Sounds like both a blessing and a curse."

"Most things are."

She rubbed her arm, as if trying to rub away a sudden chill.

"Elsa, I wouldn't wish eternity on anyone. You really should go speak with the trolls."

"I can't. If word got out... if Kristoff found out he'd tell Anna."

"What if they can help?"

She shook her head, lifting her hands and returning to her work.

"Elsa please. People can still see you. You still need sleep. Those are good signs. Maybe you're not completely... maybe they can stop it before it's too late."

"And if they can't I'll be stuck with the knowledge that I'm going to be forced to watch everyone I love die. To watch my little sister grow old without me. To watch her children do the same. I don't want to know."

She turned to him then, her creation forgotten as tears filled her eyes. He looked down at the ground, a soft sigh escaping him.

"I know. But if-"
