Using Your Powers for Good

         It was when speaking with Bella that I realized that both Carlisle and Esme had some sympathy toward the girl and were planning on bringing her into the family. After further discussion, before the Volturi arrived, it was discussed that she would go to venture with Derick and Esme, she would be the first " child" for their coven. 

        I felt amazing sorrow for Esme as she had spoken about the girl, she had told me about the hopes she had for her. I couldn't help but think about how this would also be the perfect chance for me to try and bring someone else back. Sure, I had healed Jake but he wasn't dead. If I wasn't there, with his accelerated healing, he would still be alive, it would just take longer to heal. 

                    I step out of the shower, knowing it was now or never, Carlisle would be back soon, or Eddie would be back and would tattle on me with his mind reading. Thank goodness he didn't have that when we were human, I would have never gotten away with anything in my youth. 

        "How is it going in there?" I hear Esme call out. I pull on an oversized yellow sweater I had picked before getting in and some leggings.   

        "Good as new!" I try to be as convincing as possible, so I could try to get her to take me to where  the young girl's body was. Before Esme could respond, Alice came skipping into the room, followed by a hesitant Sam and Dean. Sammie was looking at some of the books I had on my side table, some of the books that would help me figure out this whole prophecy thing. This was put on the back burner when the army was coming. Alice must had seen my choice. She seemed pretty happy with what I had decided. 

          "It will work, and you won't even get as sick as last time. Carlisle will be mad but he will understand once he meets Bree!" She squeals. She was so excited to have a new family member. 

   Esme raises an eyebrow but when she realizes what we are talking about, she starts to shake her head. 

        "Carlisle is going to kill me if I let you go into these woods and raise that girl from the dead. The last time you did that, you threw up blood for hours and looked like death." 

          "Esme, Carlisle will get over it and you will have a new daughter! You and Derick will be happy!

     This caused Esme to stop for a moment, no doubt picturing what her life will be like with another person in her family. Sam was the one to speak up this time, holding one of the books in his hand. 

                  "Dean and I have been looking into Aunt Lane's prophecy, well what we think is about her. Her powers could be unmatched by any other vampire in the world. She has the ability to heal, sure. She may also have the ability to bring life back, look at what she did when she came back. Not only did she heal herself but she was able to bring back some of her human traits while keeping the advanced capabilities of vampirism." Esme was listening intently, Alice nodding. 

   "What if when Lane brings someone back from the dead, especially if they are a vampire, they really come back? What if they are human again?" Dean asked, finishing what Sam was trying to get at. 

If this were the case If I could bring possibly bring people back from death, or even a life with the promise of being damned, I would be an asset and more importantly, a threat. The Volturi would have a field day taking down a threat like that. Although my power was powerful, It did not help me in a fight. It would be easy for them to take down in a fight. Carlisle will protect me and then they can justify taking him out as well, it would be a huge win for the Volturi. We need to learn what I can and cannot do, this way we can be better prepared for the future. 

Esme sighed but nodded, knowing that if the boys were with us, I would most likely be safe. Dean would make sure that I personally came back in one piece. It surprised me that he was willing to go behind Carlisle's back like this. They had become close very quickly.
