Muzan walked down the streets of the beautiful city called Asakusa. He always felt a strange connection to the city he grew up in, it was odd. Since the day he was born, he has felt connected to this city in some strange way. Sometimes he has dreams of himself with shorter hair and a paler face, he also has dreams of killing people. As dark as it sounds, it happens. People say when you have dreams of yourself like that, that was you in your past life. But Muzan never believed it... until he saw him.

That was about a month ago, Muzan has locked himself in his apartment, surviving off of whatever snacks he had left. He saw him... demon slayer... demons... murder... the moment he saw that familiar reddish ponytail and those dull but merciful eyes Muzan suddenly remembered everything. Of course he got slight jabs at his brain whenever he walked past some of the hashiras that defeated him all those years ago but he never paid them that much of a mind. But that one specific demon slayer... it changed everything.

Muzan was very much not a demon anymore, so there was no point in him being scared that the demon slayer... well ex demon slayer, would hunt him down. But what if he wanted revenge? No, he seemed like the type to forgive... and forget... Muzan rubbed his eyes. He looked at the empty bowl of ramen noodles that he ate this morning and he sighed. That was the last of his food. Well the last of his food that he could really eat... all of his other food got eaten or had to be thrown away because it was rotten. Muzan devoured all the frozen food and had been living off of the thirty pack of ramen that had been in his cupboard. Muzan covered his head with his pillow and flopped down lazily. Maybe he was overreacting... a bit. The demon slayer surely didn't recognize him... and even if he did, he wouldn't... shouldn't really care. Plus, Muzan had been exercising in his home but the protein he was getting wasn't enough to keep his figure. At least as a demon he didn't have to worry about that. If Muzan didn't go out and buy some proper food soon then he  would lose the body he had worked so hard for just because some stupid fear. He hadn't even seen the demon slayer until this one moment one month ago... and he's lived here for nineteen years of life, so surely they wouldn't see each other again. Asakusa had a large population... so the probability of them meeting again is unlikely.

Muzan got up and felt his hair flow down his shoulders. He was a mess, he was too paranoid to even shower since he thought when he opened the shower curtain the demon slayer would be waiting there. It was ridiculous, what if who he really saw was Kokushibou? Or whatever his real name is, Muzan couldn't care to remember. They're twins after all... but Kokushibou's human eyes were a darker shade of red,  his brother's were more of a pinkish colour. Muzan groaned, this whole thing was stupid, he was stupid. Muzan got up and went to the bathroom, all the blinds to his apartment were closed, the lights were off, and all the doors were locked. It's been like that for a whole month so who would even think he's home? Maybe he's on vacation or something. Muzan shook his head and looked in the mirror. He didn't look too good. His once perfect eyes were now adorned with eye bags, and his face looked visibly paler. Muzan sighed and took off his hoodie. He still had his abs and most of his muscle but they weren't as big as before, all because of getting a glimpse of a person he saw over six hundred years ago. Muzan slipped the rest of his clothes off and hopped in the shower, he's showered a few times... maybe twice a week, three if he was feeling extra disgusting. Muzan was disgusted in himself for falling this low, it's worse then when he hid out as a demon all those years ago. Because this time he doesn't have a reason to hide! Muzan dug his fingers into his head as he felt the warmish water hit his head and fall down his face. God he needed therapy.
