  Y/n L/ns Survival Log: Entry 1.5

Low staggering and the heaviest sense of guilt imaginable met your descent down the ladder of your lifepod, until you were stumbling through a freshly aired-out shelter for two.

"Oh no... oh shit..." Your breaths were quickly starting to deepen until you were gasping for air, petrifying terror grasping at your hearts at the mere thought of what was awaiting you outside. Water... nothing but water.

It was certainly common knowledge at this point, but inklings? They did not mix well with most water. Even trying to take a quick dip would be... lethal, to say the least. The process to make water safe for consumption in basic cellular respiration was simple, yes, but it was not one you could easily access. Purification was not an option right now. How would you be able to survive this?

"Rebooting in Emergency Mode..." On the floor of the lifepod where you had already initially abandoned it, an artificial, female voice spoke up. Your PDA. Since when could they speak?

"User biology unknown. Unable to perform diagnostic analysis. You are alive." Getting over your initial shock, you scrambled through the lifepod, scooping up the device as it chirped out more lines.

"This is considered an optimal outcome.
This PDA has now rebooted in emergency mode with one directive: to keep you alive on an alien world." The PDA informed you.

"Please refer to the databank for detailed survival advice. Good luck." The voice quickly silenced itself after that last remark, leaving you to look at the device in bewilderment. Was this... the actual reason Ashley gave you this PDA? To use for survival on this planet?

That was... considerate of her, but that still left you with the glaring issue of the ocean that surrounded you on all sides. How would you be able to survive that?

Slowly sitting down on the ground of the lifepod, you lifted a pale finger up to the screen of the PDA. It told you to check the databank, so...

A minute of fiddling with different tabs brought you to new sights on the device. Namely, four written messages. One labeled "start here," another called "Survival checklist," one more with the title "WARNING: Blueprint Database Corrupted," and lastly... "Y/n."

Basically, two automated messages for survival, the misplacement of data for over 80% of blueprints you would supposedly need from that crash, and lastly, a few paragraphs of text.

If you're reading this, it means you survived the Aurora crash. What you need to do now is find a way to leave the planet. There should be a blueprint for an escape rocket you can use to set off for earth, but blueprints are a finicky thing, easy to corrupt. If you can't escape right away, you will be able to get blueprints from the Aurora, which I suspect will survive the landing.

You can find the blueprints in two places. There is the captains quarters, which requires a passcode. If you find that first, the passcode is 2679. Otherwise, find my quarters. I've set a PDA there with every blueprint I could stuff in it, secured in a personal safe that could only be blasted open by humanity's best weaponry. If you find that, the code is 2008. The human year the very first Francis Durnham Jr was born.

As for how you can reach the Aurora: 4546B is an aquatic planet. I remember that Ink Humans cannot survive being submerged in water. Lifepods have a locker inside them. Find yours. Inside, I have stored a radiation suit. The Aurora crash is bound to have given off enough radiation to turn you into goop if you get close. The suit is made of rubber, 100% waterproof, and will protect you from any radiation. You'll be safe.
