Sabre

A bright warm light filled my eyes suddenly as I let out a groggy groan. I was lying on the table and opened my eyes to only see more light. I covered my eyes a bit to see a small fault in the curtain letting the morning sun shine own in my face. Of course... I must have fallen asleep while translating. I sat up a bit before leaning back into my chair to stretch my legs and arms out. I sighed a bit and looked up at the ceiling for a few minutes to help wake myself up. I felt like I needed to get up and do something... but what?...

The meeting.

I shot out of my chair not knowing how long I was asleep for I needed to make sure I didn't sleep in for too long. I quickly changed into the simple new clothes I made myself last night and did a quick comb of my hair with my hand to get rid of my morning hair. I grabbed the book of my Steve translation into my bag before heading downstairs. I needed to eat before I got going. I don't want to be hangry at an important meeting. I made it quick by grabbing a pan in my kitchen to over easy cook an egg before putting it on a slice of slightly stale bread. With some added salt to give it more flavor, I left it on a plate before going to the front door to get my shoes on. I tried on some brown boots I have as spare shoes for myself.

My mind raced about anything else I might need. Snacks? No, I won't need any... writing utensils. I don't have any spare ones at the moment... sword? No... that's too intimidating. How about... No... Let's just go and hurry and if I need something I can be a it later. Hopefully. I grabbed my bread and egg before rushing out the door to see it was already mid-morning. I'm late! That's a great impression for a meeting. I rushed through the streets making sure I didn't bump into anyone while eating my breakfast as quickly as I could. Some steves waved me a good morning I just managed out a panic morning back to them.

I rushed into the Rainbow Citadel and did a small wave to the guard watching anyone who entered in or out of this place. Inside was a large space leading to places underground where guards and supplies were stationed and a place for Steve to meet up with each other and find help if needed. I ran up the stairs that warp up to the higher level where one guard, leaders, and I can go to where work and meetings are held. I rushed to the top floor but was stopped by two guards.

"You are late Sabre." One of the guards told me. I brushed the sleeve of my hand against my face to get any crumbs off my lips to look as nice as I could.

"I know I'm sorry I overslept-" They then both chuckled to each other.

"We are messing with you, the meeting is actually about to start in a few minutes." One of the guards laughed a bit, I laughed with them in relief.

"I thought I was late, I rushed here as quickly as I could." I sighed allowing myself to catch my breath.

"Well, right now I think only the Violet Leader, Blue Leader, and Indigo Leader are here at the moment. Go ahead." The second guard moved to the side. I bow to them as thanks before heading up to the throne room. Just as they said I saw the three of them talking to each other. Well, the Violet Leader trying to help them calm down.

"Hey, I'm here." I waved to them with a small brush of my hand. The Violet Leader looks at me, but the Indigo Leader comes up to me before the Violet Leader can say anything.

"Sabre! I'm glad to see you- all of this has been... a lot." Indigo Leader muttered shaking a bit. They are still taking things in after suddenly being elected leader. I took his hands.

"Well you are doing great, don't worry about it." I smiled at him and he stopped shaking.

"It's been some getting used to... But I'm excited to go and tell my people soon after this." Blue Leader looks at me. I nod to him.
