I wonder where she is... I was laid back in my bed looking at the old book I have been translating for a while now. The original copy is so old and worn... I'm glad I went ahead and made a more stable copy in case this one became ruined or destroyed. This is from her... the first code jumper to ever exist and yet... where is she?

Truthfully.. where is any of them.

I sat out of bed and brough the book with me to head downstairs. The smell of incense I burned last night still lingered in the air. The morning mist one was a good choice... Still reminds me of my father. His eyes were a dark green... with no code. My mother had light brown eyes, also no code. So I'm not sure how in my first life I was born like this. I don't think even my parents understood why I looked like this. Just like Comet right now seems to barely understand herself.

I didn't even mess with my own powers until my second and third life...

My slightly tired steps guided me to the kitchen. Where I put the old book on the table. On the kitchen table was a small polished diorite incense holder where the stick was nearly fully worn through. Next to it a small metal cup filled with the tree bundles of incense sticks. I grabbed another mist one to burn to keep on me as I cook. I threw some wood in the oven below and started the flames with some flint and steel, a moment later I grabbed a stick of incense and put it near the flames, as the tip sparks carefully I blew out the tip and placed it on the holder. The smell of that forest comes back to me as I grab some flour eggs and salt.

. . .

"You look so cute in my arms Elan, you know that right?"  My name stood out to me in these bundles of softness. I was small, able to fit into one of his arms. The word kept coming back to me as my own word. My word.

"Let me get this off of you, so you can see the sky more clearly since no one is around. It has to stay on your forehead. Remember that." He held me so close in my arms. Which each work they spoke, I could feel my knowledge grow. That first time being a baby and toddler... is special. I remember it all so clearly in my head, but then... life felt truly innocent and endless.

The sky shined a brilliant blue through the morning sun rise. The early morning mist was nearly gone. The clouds almost seem to glow through sunlight's orange rays. The trees covered anything else I couldn't see with sparkling green leaves. It all went a little darker when he pulled the fabric back over my eyes.

. . .

I mixed the flour and eggs together, before pouring it out on the counter table where I dropped a few eggs into a small valley of the center and slowly mixed it all together. My hands sticky with eggs were slowly dried up by the flour. Once all together I began to kneed it.

. . .

"Mom? Can I really not take this off for school?" I jokingly pulled at the blindfold on my face. I got a quick snap back from across the room.

"Absolute not! Unless you want the Tempest guards to come for your head!" My mom marches in, her long dark brown hair matched her brown eyes.

"They aren't that scary! All they do is walk around and turn and stand there- and repeat it all again!"  I rolled my eyes at her and crossed my arms

"Still doesn't mean you can mess with them, or else-" She runs straight at me and picks me up off the ground. "I have got them! The last of the Nolan family," She makes a few noms sounds as she kisses my head and cheeks.

"Mom no!" I lingered on the no for a while, before we settled into a warm comforting hug, her voice goes calm. "You know why, it's to keep you safe." She gives me one last kiss  on my forehead before putting myself back down on the ground.

"I know mom- Love you!"
