Explanation: I've been gone for so long, and obviously yall need an explanation. Basically as to not sugar coat things, my parents died and I was put in foster care like a week after posting the last chapter cause no other family of mine wanted to take me in (I dont have a large family, not anymore anyway) and while in foster care I was in a really bad place. Like really, REALLY bad. And because of that I was taken out of of foster care and put into a mental hospital where I stayed for a like 2 months?? and surprisingly got better? Not fully but just kind of better. I was taken out of the hospital like a month or 2 ago and a kind little couple adopted me a few weeks ago despite the fact that that I was y'know 😭 anyways I'm still adjusting and through all of this I forgot I had wattpad. I'm sorry guys! I'll try my best to pick this story up because I dont want to discontinue it or leave it on a long hiatus.

Anyways enjoy this chapter though! It's short, and even though you guys deserve a long chapter this one is pretty short and pretty bad since I wasn't really sure where to pick up at this part of the story, sorry guys.

I know I shouldn't but I may just skip the whole interrogation in the next chapter and focus on other things to pick up where we were if that's okay 😁

......

Izuku sat silently beside his little brother, staring blankly at Mikumos stick figured drawing as the little one happily scribbled away with his bright yellow marker. The cartoon playing in the background sounding faint to his ears as he waited with baited breathes as the kind tree man took his sweet time in the kitchen, preparing him a drink.

He didn't want to be here, especially with the detective guy staring daggers into the back of his head, leaving him tense and on edge. He wanted to go back to his room, the room he didn't have to hide in every four seconds.

His hands were trembling as he subtly hid them in his lap, his breathes coming out shaky and uneven as his nerves grew. Curse his fear of adults...

It was only after the posh man came back, setting down a small cup of hot chocolate in front of him with a soft smile, that the detective finally decided to speak up.

"So let me get this straight" Makoto spoke up with a sigh, pointing his pencil between him and Mikumo. "You were brutally beaten up by your companions after breaking into a closed restaurant, which is a crime by the way- and that's a talking toy" he added as he pointed at Unmei whose head was peaking out of his bag.

Startled, Izuku quickly and "gently" slammed Unmei's body out of sight into his bag, creating a dent in the chair he had stored his bag on.

"Y-yes...thats- that's correct" he whispered, his voice so faint the detective had to physically lean in to hear it.

Mikumo nodded his head repeatedly from beside him. "Yeah yeah! They dragged Izu there and then wouldn't let Mikumo help him!! They were very very very very-"

"OKAY! Okay, we get it"

"-very very very mean!" Mikumo finished with large gasp, having said all that in one single breath.

Makoto seemed to be on the verge of falling asleep, but even then his gaze never wavered from his. The man staring so deep into soul that he could almost feel him poking around in there.

To be honest, when Izuku stumbled and marched through the shockingly nice corridors (stupid rich detective and his little husband or whatever the posh guy was) of the large apartment room, he hadn't expected to almost immediately be put down for an interrogation! Which, ahem, rude! He just woke up.

So now here he was, scared out of his mind with Unmei, the smug little shit, and Mikumo, the not smug but cutely trying his best dearest little brother of his, sitting down at a sleek wooden table with a very annoyed and exhausted detective and tall tree man.

Yay...

"listen bud, so here's the thing...I dont believe that's the full story" Makoto said with a sharp look, his eyes narrowed as he leaned over a table. A scare tactic detectives used to scare people into talking, which wouldn't work on Izuku cause he was too scared to talk. So HAH! beat that tree man..

"Listen kid, we don't mean you any harm, really. We just need to know what really happened to you so we can help" The tree man said calmly, his voice sweet and buttery.

"I don't....I don't need your help...! I told you what happened and that's a-all you need to know" Izuku said shakily, giving the two men in front of him a small, frightened glare. He told them all the things he was physically able to, why were they pushing for more? Why couldn't they just nod and let him be in his way?

Why were adults so difficult?
