Something felt wrong.
Vergil had thought this sudden feeling meant that there may be demons nearby, but as he was about to unsheathe Yamato he realised it was already unsheathed.
"What is..." he mumbled to himself as he slowly pulled Yamato out of its scabbard. It was loose, that's for sure. Vergil always made sure it was properly sheathed everytime he snapped it back, unleashing a quick white flash as he did so.
There was no doubt that someone had meddled with it.
Dante , he thought in distaste.
Vergil quickly pulled out the rest of his weapon, inspecting it. If Dante had used his Yamato to slice up pizza, his brother would have both of his feet in the grave by tonight. It seemed to still look the same as it was when Vergil had last left it. He would usually take a cloth and clean it after a long mission - and evidently so it was still spotless.
But it was obvious Dante did something . That thought vexed him. He would have to deal with his mischievous little brother later, right now he had matters to take care of.
He took a breath, your scent still strong in his senses. Clouding every other thought. Why did it have to be this strong?
He was going to use this to his advantage rather than as a weakness. At least this way he could still track you down.
Vergil enjoyed taking walks, though he wasn't a fan of walking here in the heart Red Grave City, where it was too noisy with the hustle and bustle of the townspeople. There were too many humans aimlessly scattered around. He liked his walks filled with scenery. It reminded him of the place he grew up with Dante and his parents, which was still in Red Grave but in a rather secluded area. It was sort of isolated from the rest of the town, just him and his family in their humble abode, surrounded by nature. The way he liked it. He enjoyed taking walks in Fortuna more, people were less bothersome and kept to themselves - a factor that was important to him.
After strolling for a while, your scent fueling him even more so now, he came to a stop at the orphanage where Nero and Kyrie were often at. The two lovers had planned to move to Red Grave ever since the Order of the Sword fell apart. Fortuna wasn't the same anymore, and all it seemed to do was hold bad memories.
It truly was time for a change.
They had children that they fostered and a orphanage that they ran in Fortuna, but it felt wiser to move everything over here in Red Grave as it was more convinient. And so they rehabilitated an old, abandoned orphange to accomodate all of the children, whereas the fostered children living with Nero and Kyrie in their new home. The move happened some time during Dante and Vergil's disappearance and the orphanage was still undergoing construction as it was midly affected by the aftermath of the Qliphoth incident. Of course, Fortuna would always remain home in the hearts of Kyrie and Nero, which explained how they both decied to go to Fortuna for the time being as Nero and the other devil hunters completed an assignment over there.
