Alps Mountains - 1945

Our last HYDRA mission was to take down the leader; The Red Skull. Steve had a plan to take them out head on - I was ready to avenge Bucky's death by killing the leader. Now I sit on the cliffside and wait for the signal, the snow falls on my fur - Painting my fur snow white.

Through the windows I saw Steve being held captive by HYDRA's soldier's and Red Skull leader - I waited just a little longer until I saw the soldiers jump through the windows. I stood up and ran towards the building then jumped towards the building - I landed on a HYDRA's soldier then bit into his collarbone. I feel his blood on my tongue.

He screamed while writhing in pain - He died as soon as I got off of him. I follow Steve as he chases the Red Skull out in the hallway where the battle against HYDRA and the military soldiers - We followed him into the large room where a plane was about ready to take off.

Steve and I went ahead to chase the plane while fighting off HYDRA Soldier sadly the plane was moving faster than us. We hoped that we're not too late - Then we heard an automobile behind us, and we turned to see Colonel Phillips. and Peggy riding in a HYDRA's automobile. "Get in!" Phillips told us, we jumped in while Phillips gave chase on the plane.

I felt the hard cold wind against my face along with the cold metal of Bucky's dog tags that's cleverly hidden behind my military collar, it was the only thing I had of him left.

"Keep it steady!" Steve orders as he is preparing to jump out the car until Peggy stops him with a kiss on his lips. I could tell that Steve was on cloud nine. "Go get him." She said to him,

As they broke the kiss I giggled when I heard him say "I'm not kissing you!"

Steve and I leapt onto the plane just as it took off into the sky - We headed inside the plane to find Red Skull and ended things with HYDRA for good, I was on high alert the whole time. Until I felt arms wrap around my body and muzzle so I won't either try to bark or bite, but I still have my claws as I swipe their arms. Managing to draw blood, I was put into the main control room.

I was muzzled and chained up to a metal pole of the table - I pulled and tugged on the chains until I heard the door open up to see Steve, I wagged my tail at the sight of him but before he could free myself from the chains. Red Skull appeared out of nowhere and fought Steve, "You don't give up, do you?" The enemy shouts.

"Nope!"

I watched as the two fought on the airplane while I sat and watched while trying with all of my might to get this damn chain off. I watch as Steve's shield makes contact with the control panel that releases a blue cube that Red Skull grabs. Suddenly the cube opens up a portal that sucked him in, I let out a breath. The enemy was gone.

Steve quickly made his way towards me - Since the chain didn't wanna give he rips my military collar off, only keeping Bucky's tags but there's a bigger problem: the plane was going down and there's nothing we can do about it.

"Come in, this is Captain Rogers, do you read me?" Steve spoke through the intercom.

I perk my ears when I heard Peggy through the intercom; "Steve, is that you? Are you alright?"

"Peggy, Schmidt's dead!" He informed her.

"What about the plane?" She asked.

"That's a little bit tougher to explain." He replies.

"Give your coordinates, I'll find you a safe landing site."

"There's not gonna be a safe landing. But I can try and force it down." He said.

"I'll get Howard on the line, he'll know what to do."

"There's not enough time. This thing's moving too fast and it's heading for New York. I gotta put her in the water." He told her.

My ears flop when I hear that but there's no other choice - But at least me and Steve will be reunited with Bucky, the sinking feeling of what will Mrs. Barnes and Elizabeth do with us - How will they live without us?

I whined when I leapt onto Steve's lap, I was scared of what would happen to us. "It'll be okay, girl. We'll meet Bucky soon." He assured me. Grasping Bucky's tag while stroking it.

I licked his face...just as the plane crashed into the ice.

New York - 2011

I woke up to a pounding head - My eyesight was blurry as I tried to focus on the radio that played music. Everything looked and sounded like home but it didn't feel like home. "Hey pretty girl." I heard a woman speak to me. "Don't worry just taking your blood." She also looks like something from home but I knew she wasn't.

As soon as she was done, I jumped down and bolted out of the room, hearing the woman call for me - I ran out the building but only stopped when I saw Steve. Why does everything look different?

"Akira?" I heard Steve. He bent down to scratch my head when I approached him. "What happened, girl? Where are we?" He wonders.

"At ease, soldier!" A man said. I turn to see a dark-skinned man wearing all black. I noticed that he wore an eyepatch on his right eye that's scarred.

"Who are you?" Steve asks.

The man responded; "Colonel Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. You would have known us as the Strategic Scientific Reserve."

SHEILD? I wonder.

"Where are we?" Steve ask just as I hid behind his legs. "46th and Broadway." Nick Fury responded. "Look, I'm sorry about that little show back there, but we didn't know what your mental state might be, so we thought it best to break it to you slowly."

"Break what?"

"You've been asleep, Cap. For almost 70 years."

Reality sunk into my head. 70 years? That's how long I was dead or asleep??

I could see this information sink into Steve too; "How are we alive?" he asked.

" Well, to be honest with you, we don't really know. My docs say it was suspended animation. Could be Dr. Erskine's formula, the extreme cold. I don't know." Responds Nick.

"What about the war? Did we win?"

Nick chuckles, " Hell, yes. Unconditional surrender. Taking down HYDRA was a big part of that. But the world hasn't changed all that much. There's still a lot of work to be done. A soldier's work. The world can still use a man like you, Cap. There's a place here for you." Steve was still silent. "You gonna be okay?"

"Yeah. Yeah, I just... I had a date."

I look down to see Bucky's tags, at least I still have a little piece of him.
