I've made my choice. Bucky's still the man I knew but buried deep somewhere in The Winter Soldier.

I quickly made my way towards Bucky and grip onto the sleeve of his suit while Steve helped out by lifting the railing while I helped pull him out - Together we managed to pull Bucky out of the railing, he was beaten and weak. He looks over at me, I just simply look at him while wagging my tail slowly.

He proceeds to punch me away with his metal hand that sends me flying into the window that broke under my impact as I grip onto the railing as I watch Steve confront Bucky, "You know me. You know that dog." He tells him.

"No I don't!" Bucky yells out while punching Steve's shield.

"Bucky, you've known me your whole life." Steve tried to snap him out. "Your name...is James Buchanan Barnes."

"Shut up!" Bucky yells again while punching Steve again.

Steve then drops the shield and removes his mask. "I'm not gonna fight you. You're my friend. Akira's your friend. You saved her when she was a pup." Bucky turns to look at me, he then turns back to Steve to push him to the ground. "You're my mission." Bucky snarls when he repeatedly continues to say. "You're my mission."

"Then finish it..." Bucky held up his metal fist. "Cause I'm with you...to the end of the line."

Then the bottom of the Hellcarrier fall as I gave up the railing and fall to the ocean and blacked out.

Third person pov

Bucky pulled Steve out of the potomac and dragged onto the shore - He had looked everywhere for the Belgian Malinois but he couldn't find her anywhere, he stood as memories flooded his mind of the dog when he rescued her when she's newborn and saved her from death itself. He remembers her growing up to be his girl, their bond, the connection they had together but now it's gone.

He was startled when he heard a yelp and something swim towards the shore - He turned to see the female Belgian Malinois shaking the water off of her body, the two looking up at one another. Akira was bruised and injured but still alive.

Bucky let out a sob chuckle as he bent down and stretched his hands out, "Akira, my baby girl." That got her to limp into his waiting arms, he closed his arms to hug her close to his chest. His sides were whacked by her tail and his face was licked by her tongue, "My baby girl, you're alive." He whimpers into her fur while his tears soak them.

He looks down to see that her thigh was still bleeding from the gunshot wound, he softly strokes it which makes her yelp in pain. "I'm sorry girl." He apologized. He then hears jets approaching them, he proceeds to lift his dog up as they walk away into the forest.

They hide inside an abandoned apartment and inside the bathroom where Bucky had Akira in his lap to try to remove the bullet, so far everything went well until he tried to put the tweezers inside the wound that made Akira whimpers and move her legs to try to get away from the pain. "I know, I'm sorry." He whimpers. "I almost got it." He said while stroking her fur.

He slowly plunges the tweezers into the wound to try to pull the bullet out, Akira barks in pain and bites into his metal arm. Luckily the bullet was finally out that's covered in blood, he drops the bullet and imminently grabs a gauze from his med kit and wraps it around her leg.

He pants and lay his head back against the sink cabinet with his dog in his lap, he continuously stroked her fur as he tried to figure out who James Buchanan Barnes was. Fortunately he had Akira by his side for this crazy journey ahead of them, it'll just be the two of them and nobody else.

He looks down to see Akira fast asleep, a soft smile forms on his lips as he presses a kiss on her head. His bright little dog was back into his world again.
