" One who gossips usually carries boredom in one hand and bitterness in the other. "

― Suzy Kassem

Two weeks have passed since Do Nari revealed The Rebellious Organization on the news and Sohyun's case. As a result, she lost a few contracts, which caused some disruption but was manageable. However, the situation escalated when she began to receive death threats. While she had previously coped with stalkers, this circumstance posed a more severe threat.

She would occasionally wake up to discover mysterious packages in front of her penthouse. While she initially didn't pay much attention to them, her manager and her employer, Model Muse Entertainment, started to take the situation more seriously.

They filed a complaint and searched for the person who threatened Do Nari, but they couldn't find much information on the assailant.

" Boring... "

Stated the woman as she stared at the ceiling of her living room.

Her eyes, unfocused, she stared without much thought. She felt confined in her own home. Since that accident, her company has asked her to remain home to avoid dangerous situations. She thought it was bullshit since she knew it was a win-win for them since she couldn't move around as much and cause them trouble.

She tilted her head to the side and let her fingers curl around her phone. She unlocked it and stared at the time.

" 00:09... "

She cursed in her head as she finally decided to go out. With a quick movement, she grabbed a black mask and hat to cover her face and quickly put on her shoes.

Quitely, she opened her front door and peeped outside, then quietly closed it and took the elevator to the ground floor.

She quietly greeted the security guard, hoping he wouldn't stop her, but thankfully, he didn't seem to recognise her.

After a few steps, she felt like she could finally breathe. She then walked to the nearby convenience store and bought herself something to eat. She felt normal momentarily, but her peace was quickly disrupted when she noticed a few raindrops.

" Shit...! "

She quickly finished her meal and asked the cashier for an umbrella.

"Ah, yes, there is one left, just behind you. " Showed the young man.

As she had noticed earlier, she couldn't help but stare at his pointy yet fluffy ears. What type of hybrid is he? She wondered before she directed her eyes elsewhere to avoid any awkward situation.

" That would be 4,500 won, please. " She nodded as she handed him the money and left.

In the meantime, the rain started pouring. It wasn't much, but she had a 15-minute walk to her house.

As she started walking, Nari wondered if she should take a shortcut to return home earlier. She shook her head as she concluded that it wouldn't be worth it.

Suddenly, though, a weird sound came from the alley she pondered on taking. She did a double take before she slightly approached. As the sound became louder, she stopped.

" Someone is getting beaten up. " She concluded.

She turned around and thought whatever was happening wasn't worth the time. However, her own words started to echo in her mind. Didn't she say that one is old enough not to be just a witness to injustice? To know from right to wrong?

Her fingers tightened around the handle of her umbrella, knuckles turning white as she let out a quiet curse under her breath. Determined, she pivoted on her heel and resumed following the sound, her eyes scanning the surroundings with heightened alertness. With her free hand, she carefully dialled the police, ready to make the call if anything were to happen.
