Narrator

It had been two weeks since Dani had returned to school. Y/n had been avoiding going to visit her because Y/n didn't want to be sneaking around anymore.

Dani was fully aware of that, so she also decided to give Y/n some space until they were ready.

It was going into week 3 of not seeing each other and Y/n finally decided to talk to Mr. Marsh.

- Mr. Marsh POV -

"What makes you think that I'd be okay with that?!" I yelled in Y/n's face.

Y/'n had betrayed my trust and corrupted my daughter in a way I never thought she'd fall for.

I had opened my home to Y/n.

I had given them shelter, food, a shower, their dignity back, a boost of self-esteem, a safe space to be themselves, somewhere to call home, a place to feel loved...

And all Y/n did was take advantage of it.

More importantly, take advantage of my daughter.

"I thought perhaps you'd be okay with the simple reason that Danielle seems to be happy," Y/n didn't seem scared to answer.

"After all, isn't seeing the ones we love... happy.... a reward itself?"

- Y/N POV -

I understood Mr. Marsh's anger towards me. It was expected, but what I didn't expect was his demeanor.

Mr. Marsh had been behaving a little odd towards me since Danielle had visited, but I never thought he'd be this way towards me.

"I gave you everything you needed, everything you lacked, and this is how you repay me?" Mr. Marsh coldly asked.

"Back then, I was very prideful. I didn't realize how much support I was being given. But I assure you, I never once intended to fall for Danielle. It just happened," I held my head up high.

Mr. Marsh wouldn't respond to anything that I was saying.

"I'm sorry I ruined the relationship between us," I sighed out.

"Indeed you did," Mrs. Marsh chuckled out.

I bit the inside of my cheek and nodded.

"I'll pack my bags. I'm sorry for disrespecting your trust, but I love your daughter. I don't want to strain your family relationship by continuing to live here," I took a deep breath.

Mr. Marsh didn't say anything else.

I walked upstairs and packed up a duffel bag full of clothes. I packed my backpack with essentials and quickly made my way out of the house.

"Y/n, don't go. Andrew doesn't mean it," Mrs. Mo tried to stop me.

"Right, Andrew?" She asked Mr. Marsh.

Mr. Marsh didn't say anything in response and I had my answer.

"Thanks for everything, Mom," I gave Mrs. Mo a kiss on the cheek and walked out the front door.

- Danielle POV -

I was getting bombarded with calls in the middle of class. At first, I thought it was spammers but then I realized it was my mom.

I quickly excused myself from class and picked up the call.

"Hello?" I answered a bit worried.

"Y/n told your dad and now Y/n's out of the house," Mom told me.

I tightened my jaw in anger and coldly responded... "I got this."

I then hung up the phone and tried to call Y/n a few times, but Y/n wouldn't pick up.

I knew that Y/n probably needed some time to cool down, so I called my dad instead.

*RING, RING*

*RING, RING, RING*

*RING, RING*

Dad let the phone ring for quite a while before picking up.

"Hello?" Dad answered.

"This was all my idea. Y/n wanted nothing to do with it from the start. Y/n didn't want to disrespect you in any way, but I insisted. You have no right to be mad at Y/n. I had started this whole mess," I coldly informed him.

Dad didn't have the guts to respond anything.

He knew from the start that I liked Y/n. He knew that Y/n was trying to be respectful. He knew this was coming.

"Why did you do it?" I angrily asked.

"Why did you let Y/n walk out the door?" I wanted answers.

"You know better than anyone that Y/n would make a much better partner for me than a stranger you've never met before. You know Y/n's flaws, their potential, how much growth they've made since we first met them. How could you be mad at that?" My eyes started to fill with angry tears.

There was just silence on the other end.

"Really? You don't have anything to say to me?" I asked a bit annoyed.

"You ruined our relationship before it even started and you don't have anything to say about that? You don't have anything to say about the fact that you just broke my heart?" My voice started to get become shaky.

"You're right," Dad finally spoke up.

After minutes of refusing to give me any answers, the last thing I wanted to hear was that I was right.

"I'll go look for Y/n," Dad lowly said over the phone.

"No," I sighed out.

"I don't trust you with Y/n right now. Not after the way you treated them last time I went home, and especially not right now that you allowed Y/n to walk out the door," I sternly told him.

"I'm coming home right now. I can't believe you let me down like that," I exhaled out before hanging up the phone.
