Chang Da-rae’s POV
I was just starting to wake up when Ji-min’s voice cut through my drowsiness.
"Should she even be alive?!" she blurted out, her tone sharp and urgent.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" I mumbled, still half-asleep.
"We’re talking about how we never heard Na-yeon or Ms. Park scream," Wu-jin explained, his voice laced with concern.
"And they might still be alive," Dae-su added hopefully.
"Oh… okay," I murmured, honestly too tired to think.
But Ji-min wasn’t letting this go. "She’s a murderer! She killed Gyeong-su and walked out of here on her own. Should she even still be alive? Aren’t you all being fake?"
The room fell silent.
"What about Ms. Park? Should she have died too?" Wu-jin asked.
"Is that our fault?" Ji-min shot back.
"Either way, we’re responsible for what happened," Wu-jin said, his voice heavy with guilt.
"Why, though? What did we do wrong?" Ji-min argued. "Na-yeon killed someone, played the victim, and left because we didn’t listen to her. If no one’s on your side, does that make it okay to kill?"
I sighed and gave a small, bitter smile. "Even though Ji-min’s being brutally honest… I think she’s right."
Ji-min continued, "Ms. Park acted like we were the ones who did something wrong. We didn’t tell Na-yeon to leave. We didn’t tell Ms. Park to go after her. So why should we feel guilty?"
Before the conversation could go any deeper, Su-hyeok awkwardly cleared his throat. "Uh… I feel weird saying this, but—"
"Then don’t say it," Wu-jin cut him off, smirking.
Su-hyeok groaned as Wu-jin lightly punched his stomach.
"Does anyone else need to use the bathroom?" Dae-su asked randomly, completely changing the topic.
Su-hyeok raised an eyebrow. "You serious?"
"I do…" Dae-su admitted, raising his hand.
"We have to go too, but we can’t leave," Hyo-ryeong added with a sigh.
Joon-yeong glanced at his bottle, considering his options. On-jo and I immediately shot him a don’t even think about it look. He awkwardly put it down.
"Dae-su, do you really have to go right now?" I groaned.
"What’s wrong with using the bathroom?" Dae-su asked defensively.
Wu-jin smirked. "Dude, your shit stinks."
I burst out laughing.
"Why are you blaming me?! Su-hyeok brought it up!" Dae-su protested. "Pooping’s not a crime!"
"Pooping’s not a crime, but…" Wu-jin started.
"But what?! Don’t you have to go?!"
"Yeah, but not poop like you," Wu-jin teased.
Dae-su rolled his eyes and turned to Cheong-san. "What about you?"
"Pooping? No."
Dae-su pointed at me next. "What about you?"
"Dude, why would you ask her?" Wu-jin interrupted, looking personally offended.
"Why are you asking me? That’s girl business!" I laughed.
