There was quite a lot of rain, but no one with an umbrella. Yuu clutches their arms gritting their teeth. The rain felt so natural against their skin, but the world in general seemed unreal. Nothing a bit of rain could fix.
"YUUU!" Shouting rips through the silence, followed by loud patterning of steps. "You can't possibly run around on your own!" Loreanne held up an umbrella right over his and her head.
"Oh." Yuu stayed silent. Loreanne had followed him around ever since [Name] went missing, claiming to have been a good friend of them. Weird how they never mentioned her.
"[Name]'s disappearance really took a toll on you, didn't it?" Yuu sighed, every where he went there were comforting voices trying to cheer him up, but never the one he wanted to hear.
Back home Yuu didn't want to greet his parents. He had barely escaped Loreanne, it was clear she had a crush on him and used [Name] as an opportunity to get closer to him. It was sickening.
His room looked bland, he missed Grim and Ramshackle. And the ghosts of Ramshackle, no only missed things when [Name] was there.
He hears a giggle coming from somewhere behind, the voice was light and soft and most definitely coming out of the mirror. "What are you doing here, Mahoi?" There was a girl in the mirror, she had bright yellow hair that ended in some drippy substance. He already knew that was magic.
"Aw, don't be like that." She tilts her head with a grin, her eyes twinkling. But Yuu doesn't grin back so she sighs. "Oh come on, can't you look past what I did? If was for your own good."
Yuu throws a shoe at the mirror angrily, the mirror doesn't break the surface only bends a little as if he had thrown his shoe into water. "YOU MADE ME FORGET THEM!"
Mahoi frowns. "That was for your best and you didn't look like you cared about them anyway." Yuu bites his tongue. No matter how much they wanted to disagree, she was right. He never showed [Name] just how much he cared. He was too busy forming a reputation for himself, forgetting their needs.
"And look at it that way, if you hadn't forgotten them you wouldn't have helped all of those people! You would have only thought about leaving." The way she said this made his skin crawl.
"I don't care, those people didn't matter." He huffed out under his breath, watching the golden eyes of the mirror lady narrowing before she lifts her finger with a frown. "LISTEN HERE my guy. YOU need to learn that there are things outside of YOUR little world. If I hadn't send you first, Tako would have send [Name]."
Yuu flinched, Mahoi had told him about her sister a vengeful spirit, ready to do everything in her power to get revenge. He stepped infront of Mahoi, who smiled kindly. "You prepared everyone in the other world for the monster that was to come. You are a hero Yuu and once [Name] comes back, they will realise that and adore you. I promise."
Yuu looked into the mirror with a sigh. He should listen to Mahoi, she had always kept her promises, but he didn't know if he could handle being parted from [Name] for a whole school year. He didn't like that thought at all, it nestled in his stomach like a stone.
Mahoi disappeared into the darkness biting her nails. Tako's decadent was in Twisted Wonderland despite not being have send first, this was a probably. She sighed heavily before smirking. She should use this to her advantage.
