first chapter which automatically makes it the best chapter of them all

y/n pov:

he woke up feeling like shit and confused as to where he was, it felt as if he were cyrogenically frozen for thousands of years in an underground bunker after earth got flooded with water. in fact! thats probably exactly what happend. and after laying down for a while he very slowly got up to see that he was in some sort of a cyrogenic pod.

it took him a bit to become less disoriented but after he did. all the memories came back to him and he remembered what happend before he went into cyrogenic sleep. everyone he loved and cared about was gone and he was the last human still alive.

y/n: *sigh* damn... for sleeping for thousands of years i feel like straight ass! i was hoping to at least be well rested but nooooooo.

he then got up out of the cold uncomfortable ass pod. doing the best stretch he's probably ever had in his life, before looking around. it was a big open room with some machine looking things, and a waterkoeler.

after seeing the waterkoeler he sluggishly walks to it and immediately drinks many cups of water since he was feeling rather parched. he DID sleep for thousands of years after all.

y/n: ahh much better!... well, i guess there is only one thing to do. press on.

After drinking a couple more liters of water. he walks towards a metal door that leads to a long hallway, with at the end of it leading towards two paths one to the left and one to the right. they probably led towards other chambers and maybe an exit.

once he walked to the end of the hall, all the lights suddenly turn on which makes him jump and a voice starts speaking through the speakers.

Random Ass Guy: attention all survivors! you guys are the last remnants of humanity, if you are wondering who i am, i'm the scientist who made the cyrogenic pods that you were all sleeping in for a little over 12,000 years.

y/n: 12,000?! god dayum!!!

Random Ass Scientist: so you can all thank me for your survival! and according to my calculations by now the world shouldn't be completely flooded! so get out there fellow survivors! and get to reproducing!!!

the recording stopped and the idea of other humans still being alive made him walk down the left hall and peak into the other rooms that were similar to his. in hopes to maybe see other humans.

but the only thing inside the pods were... bones.

y/n: damn... glad that's not me!

after checking a couple more rooms, and seeing the same thing over and over he realises that there are no survivors except for him, so he decides to make his way to the exit.

walking to the end of the hall there was a staircase that lead up to a another metal door. 

and once he opens it. which took a lot of strength. the sunlight nearly blinds him as he makes his way out.

he rubs his eyes and gets udjusted to the sunlight. he takes a minute to just appreciate the beautiful nature. trees, flowers, plants, birds chirping, the sun was shining, and the air felt cleaner which was probably due to the lack of polution.

y/n: godamn this enough to make a grown man cry, but not this man!

and so he begins his long adventure in this new world. walking through the warm grassy fields in search for humans or maybe a completely diffrent species that now rule the world, who knows, there could literally be anything out there and that's for him to find out!
