Christmas was approaching and your mom was busy with her job while Anna was focused on her assignments. So, it was you who was told to organize everything for the festival and you thought having Jungkook by your side would bring more joy to you as you hated shopping as much as he liked it. You were not extravagant as Jungkook.
"Elsie try this too."
"No sir, I don't want to.", You placed the muffler back to where Jungkook picked it up for you.
Ever since your sister broke Jungkook's heart, it paved the way for you and him to get close. Not in a romantic way obviously but more like friends. You and him would spend some quality time together by going on shopping, library, karaoke and sometimes he would help you with your studies like he used to do before. And you liked it. You liked spending time with him. You liked that he no more gave his attention only to your sister and looked at you just as any random friend. You liked him being there for you as a whole. You liked everything he was. His giggles whenever you did something mischievous. His little laughs, to your clumsiness and many more things. And in not much time, you felt as if he became more than a crush to you.
"Elsie, how about this Santa cap, it suits you doesn't it?", The muscular guy with a bunny face asked you.
"Well, let's take it.", You nodded.
"Elsie, what about the decoration?"
"We already buyed the decor stuff."
"Then what about the christmas cake?."
"Jung- I mean sir, we already gave the order of cake." You replied to his non stop questions. "How could you forget that, it was like a while ago! ", You rolled your eyes on his forgetful behavior.
But you adored this side of him at the same time too. His clumsy-cute side, which he didn't showed to much people. You were happy to be someone, with whom he could be transparent without any second thought.
"Sir, what about you? How are you celebrating this Christmas?", You asked him.
"I-I will celebrate it with my friends most likely.", He smiled.
"I thought you might go to your hometown?"
You saw his face drop. His expressions turning tense. He was sad. All the ecstaticity on his face was gone.
"I just have an elder brother as my family. Plus, he's preparing for his army exams.", He looked down at his toes as he sniffed.
"It's okay, you got me.", You put your hand on his shoulder gently but you quickly regretted your words.
He looked towards you with widened eyes. His eyebrows slightly raised in surprise.
"I-I m-mean you got m-me, my mum as your family too.", You let out a weird laugh while looking away from his sight.
You heard him chuckle. You turned your face towards him.
"You always manage to light up the mood. Thanks Elsie.", Jungkook said with a smile.
He smiled.
Because of you.
You made him happy.
"When are you graduating sir? Any date fixed yet?", You asked abruptly.
"Thirty first january.", Jungkook replied.
One month left until he's leaving.
"What are you planning to do after your graduation?", You asked.
"Well, probably going to Songdo in Incheon for my job. Earning a decent amount and live my life peacefully.", He said.
"I'll pray that everything goes just as you planned.", You said.
"What about you Elsie?", He asked.
"I'm going to give my entrance exam in march. I hope to get into a good university as yours."
"I'm rooting for you, Elsie.", He exclaimed cutely.
