"So, how are you feeling now?", You asked.
"I'm good.", Nara replied softly, her eyes fixed on the tiny being whom she's carrying in her lap.
"That's good," You glanced over the baby, who's eyes we're shut while saliva was coming out from his tiny mouth. "seems like you'll be soon discharged."
"Woah!" Nara glanced at you with excitement. "Really?"
"Mmm." You smiled, and this time it wasn't a forceful smile. It came out by itself because of Nara-she's a sweet women, which makes you somewhat relieved. "Emm, where's that guy who looks after-"
"Oh! You mean Jungkook," Nara excitedly exclaimed. "he just went back home."
"Ah, I see.", You simply nodded.
"Doctor, if you don't mind, may I ask you something?" , Nara asked.
"Oh, yeah sure.", You chuckled while flipping her daily reports.
"Are you married?"
You glanced over at Nara, being surprised.
"Well, I'm not." You replied with a faint smile.
"Oh!", You noticed her eyes lighting up.
"Erm...", You hesitated. "May I ask you something too?"
Nara smiled. "Sure"
"When did y-you got married?", You bite your lips, anxiously.
"Six years ago." Nara smiled.
Your eyes widened. You looked at her, in disbelief.
"How's that possible?", You murmured under your breath.
"Mm, Sorry?" Nara looked worried. "Did I said something wrong, doctor?"
You blankly shook your head. "Are you sure about that?"
"About what?" Nara asked in confusion. "My marriage?"
You nodded, nervously.
"Of course I am sure about the dates. What makes you think I'm not?" Nara exclaimed, in a slightly raised voice.
"Uh, you see-" You gulped. "Jungkook must have been too young, at that time..."
Nara nodded. "Yeah, he was. I remember he was working for a company in Incheon. But now I feel like he doesn't deserves all this..", Nara's expressions tensed up, suddenly.
"What do you mean?" , You asked.
"You know sometimes I feel very guilty." Nara looked sad. Very sad. "He should've been working, not looking after me and my child. I feel like a selfish person because this.", Nara's eyes were filled up with tears.
"Wait, why are you saying that?" You asked in vexation. "Aren't your child, Jungkook's child too?"
"What?", Nara's eyes widened upon your sudden statement. "I mean in a sense it's his child too as he's the uncle but-"
"What you mean by uncle?", You smacked your hands on your thighs. "Isn't Jungkook the father?" You stared at her being dumbfounded.
"What? No! Obviously not!" Nara shouted in complete frustration. "Jungkook's not the father-he's the uncle. My husband Jeon Junghyun passed away while serving the country almost eight months ago. Jungkook is my brother in law."
You fell on your chair, completely being stunned. You looked down at the baby again. He definitely didn't resembled Jungkook in any sense, and it's so stupid of you for noticing it now.
"I'm so sorry..", You mumbled.
"It's okay." Nara smiled weekly. "Atleast I have my son, who resembles Junghyun a lot in features. So, everytime I see him, it feels as if I'm seeing Junghyun himself."
You blankly nodded and got up from your chair, and walked towards the door.
"Doctor, you know Jungkook don't you?"
You halted your steps as soon as Nara's questions struck your ear.
"I do."
"Uh, well do you like him?"
You said nothing.
"It's okay, if you don't want to say it to me." Nara continued. "Say it to Jungkook."
"Why should I do that?", You pressed your lips.
"Because I think he likes you too."
You turned towards Nara, and saw her smile at you warmly.
"I don't think so."
"Why?"
"I don't know."
"You definitely do know y/n." Nara flashed a sympathetic smile. "You know you could share it me, I'm like your elder sister in a way."
"It's just that," You took a seat beside Nara's bed. "in the past Jungkook dated my elder sister which makes things awkward for me."
"What?" Nara furrowed. "Jungkook dated whom?"
"My sister, her name's Anna." You murmured.
"That's weird." Nara's raised a brow being flabbergasted. "As far as I remember Jungkook never dated any girl till this date."
"Huh?" You were confused. "He did dated my sister," You paused and then continued. "and another woman, few years ago.."
"No, I'm one hundred percent sure Jungkook never had any relationships until today." Nara clarified. "But maybe you should just ask Jungkook by yourself-for a better clarification you know."
"I don't really know." You turned back and opened the door. "Thanks Nara." You said before walking out of the ward, with heavy steps.
