a/n: had to make some revisions on this chapter and change that one specific character bc i forgot i wrote (u know who) as the doctor and i cannot let him be in my book.

yulhee woke up feeling like a total shit. she has been getting constant headaches the past few weeks.

she ignored the throbbing pain in her head as she got up from the bed.

a white fluffy dog greeted her once she came out from her room

"morning lulu" she greeted the poodle as she leaned towards the white marble counter, stabilizing herself because of the sudden dizziness.

"what the hell is going on" she whispered to herself

yulhee lives alone in an apartment, just a couple of minutes away from the cafe she owns.

as the youngest among her 2 older brothers, yulhee has a very chill life as compared to the older 2. her brothers took care of the hotels their family owns while she was given the option to do what she wanted or to also help with managing the business.

yulhee pursued on business as well but in a different direction. she is the first in the park family to establish a cafe and patisserie. it was her forte after all, business and baking.

she held her phone towards her ear as she massaged her head with the other one, waiting for the call to be answered.

after a few seconds, someone answered

"hey, somi, it's me lily. can you take over the cafe today? i'm not feeling quite well" yulhee said, rubbing another layer of essential oil onto her temple

"oh yeah sure, of course eonnie. i've also noticed your discomfort in the past few days too, is there something wrong?" somi, her trusted shop manager, asked with concern

"nothing's wrong, i think i just got a flu or something. don't worry though, i'll have it checked today too" yulhee sighed as she felt another wave of dizziness

after the phone call with somi, she only drank water because she had no appetite. yulhee led herself towards her room to get changed.

she messaged her doctor friend if he had an available schedule for check up appointment, and good thing he did have.

yulhee drove to the hospital and headed straight towards her friend's office.

dr.suh. she knocked on the door respectfully and it was immediately opened by a smiling lad.

"hey lils! it's been a while, how are you?" she was pulled into a friendly hug

"i'm good johnny-ssi, i just want to have my annual checkup"

"alright, you could sit here and let's do a few respiratory check up" he motioned her to sit on the medical bed as he prepared his equipment

"so, what's new?" he asked while putting the stethoscope on her chest, asking her to breathe

"y'know same old me. nothing new besides the cafe having another branch coming up in dongdaemun" she

"wow impressive! how's uncle and auntie park?"

johnny suh is one of her brother's close friends from college and ever since he got his license as a doctor, he became a family friend to the parks.

"they're well i guess. mom's doing yoga and dad still does his morning tennis session" yulhee answered after she took a deep breath as johnny observed her heart beat

after an whole hour of her vital signs check-ups, johnny made her wait in his office to get some results from the urinalysis and blood tests she also took.
