It was the final battle, but you didn't know that, you were just an exterminator doing you business

You had the others cornered when you turned and saw a small gremlin like... Child? You think ( I'm sorry Niffty 😂 ) walking towards Adam

With a knife.

Was the only issue, you quickly left cornering the other demons trying to grab the child but ultimately failed and just stepped in front of it

There was a small gasp and a small 'hm' ( Alastor you cocky motherfu- )

Adam being, well Adam and your boyfriend asked "what why are we surprised?" Cutting off his own sentence but as soon as he saw your body drop to the floor, was right next to you

"Y-y/n" that was the first time he said your actual name. And you hated it. Or the reason he used it, we should say

He gently picked up the upper half of your body, almost crying but he refused to in front of the others. The others, were long forgotten though as Adam held you saying you'd be okay over and over

But it was all futile, you both knew it as you cupped his cheek "hey it's okay, we'll meet again. I'm sure of it." You said dying in his arms

You'd never seen Adam cry before, but watching your eyes slowly close. There were tears as he took your halo off your head, and called the exterminators back to heaven leaving the others wondering how someone so thoughtless could be so compassionate with one person.

Man was broken after.

Still being himself, cocky ya' know? But he was more snappy
