Another Traffic Jam
I'm messing it up.
I'm pulling it down, I can feel my breath running out.
If I knew it was coming would I have stopped it?
Wringing my mind apart, the tragedies that fill my bones are aching.
They've got me under their thumb.
Twisting in the knife waiting for it to snag bone.
A footprint on my chest that presses into my heart.
It's an overload, a congestion, thoughts so heavy they steer me to a standstill, jamming me into repeating the past.
