Julianna and Camrin, 2 young girls that met on the playground during recess on their first day of 1st grade.

"Hey!" Julianna was always very outgoing, made friends wherever she went. She saw this girl alone on the playground and thought she could use a friend. So she took it upon herself to be that friend.

"I'm Juliana, what's your name?" She held out her hand as she introduced herself to the quiet girl, waiting for her to grab it.

The girl looked up from her notebook, "Uh-I'm Camrin." She looked down at Julianna's hand and hesitated, but she ended up shaking the girls hand anyway.

"Oh that's so cool! I've never meet a girl named Camrin." Camrin shook her head and laughed.

She always heard this from kids her age, they made fun of her for having a 'boy name'. But this girl didn't make fun of her. She thought she was cool.

Julianna smiled and sat down next to her. Camrin was still young and socially awkward so she didn't try to start a conversation, she just looked back down and her notebook and picked back up her pencil. She started to draw, which was what she was doing before Julianna made it a mission to become her friend.

Julianna stared at the girl and then looked down at her notebook. Her eyes widened with excitement once she realized the brown haired girl next to her was making little drawings all over the paper.

She kept watching Camrin, mesmerized by the way she moved her pencil against the paper.

The artist suddenly felt something weight down her shoulder and stopped drawing. She looked over and saw Julianna's head resting on her shoulder, looking down and her notebook.

She smiled to herself and continued to draw until the end of recess.

This was the start of a life long friendship. The girls got closer and closer as the years went on, and now they were about to start their freshman year of high school.

Julianna stares at herself in the mirror contemplating whether she should change her outfit or not.

"Do you think this outfit looks okay? I feel like it makes me look fat."

Camrin looks at the brown eyed girl like she just committed a crime.

"What?" She gets up and walks over to the mirror and stares at Julianna in it.

She was honestly the most beautiful girl she's ever seen, so hearing her talking about herself like that makes her so angry and sad at the same time.

"Jules, look at me." She grabs the shorter girls shoulders and turns her around.

"You look stunning in anything you wear, whether it be sweats and a hoodie or shorts and a crop top. So yes, I think your outfit looks amazing."

Julianna's frown turned into a smile in seconds, she suddenly thought about how Camrin was the only person that could really do that.

The green eyed girl removes her hands from her shoulders and starts to speak again, "And you're not fat. I don't wanna ever hear you talk about yourself like that again, okay?"

Julianna giggles and nods her head.

She was so glad she had Camrin, she was always there to cheer her up wherever she needed it.

"Mom! I'll be back i'm going to see Cam!"

She waited at the door for her mom to respond.

"Okay hunny! Be safe!"

Once she heard her mother, she quickly opened and closed the front door.

She pulled out her phone and called Camrin, "Oh my god she never picks up on the first ring," She muttered under her breath just as her best friend answered the phone.

"Woww I heard that,"

Julianna goes silent for a second and started laughing. "I'm on my way to your house right now dummy, just make sure your front doors unlocked,"

Camrin heard her smiling through the phone, which made her smile. "Yeah yeah, hurry up and get here." Camrin hung up the phone before Julianna could even respond.

She put her phone back in her pocket and started walking. She noticed this black van pull up next to her, she thought they were just parking but it slowly creeped down the sidewalk with her as she walked.

She thought she was just being paranoid, so to see if this van was actually following her she decided to speed up.

Her stomach dropped once she saw the van match her pace. She started jogging just in case she was gaslighting herself.

The van started driving full speed and stopped at the corner she was about to reach.

The doors flung open and 2 huge men come out and grab her.

She tries to fight back, but there's no use. These men were 5 times as strong as she was, she had no chance of getting away.

She started yelling at the top of her lungs, screaming for help. She even yelled Camrin's name out of panic and fear.

But then the doors slammed shut, silencing her cries.

"Hey Cammy, isn't Julianna supposed to be coming over?" Camrins mom walks into her room, stopping her from drawing.

"Um yeah, she should've been over here by now. I'll call her." Julianna was taking way too long to get her house now that she really thought about it.

"Okay we'll just let me know, it was supposed to just be you two here tonight. I'm gonna take the boys up to your grandmas house. It would've be too late to drive back so i was going to stay the night. Text me if you need anything," Camrins mom smiled and started to close the door.

"Yeah okay mom, I will." She frantically pulled out her phone to call her best friend, she knew there must be something wrong if she was taking this long to get to her house.

Camrin called her twice, no answer either time.

"Fuck fuck fuck," Her hands started shaking as she went thru her contacts to find Julianna's mom's number.

She pressed on her profile and called her, she answered on the second ring. "Oh hi Camrin! is everything okay? Your mother told me it would just be you and Julianna home alone tonight,"

Camrins heart dropped when she heard Julianna's name. "Yeah um, I tried calling Juli's phone and she isn't answering me. I think something h-happened to her. I didn't know what to do s-so i called you," Her voice cracked as she broke down into tears mid sentence.

She was certain that Julianna wasn't safe, she could feel it.

"What?? Okay um-okay, you know what i'm going to drive to your house and pick you up, get your shoes on." She tried to stay as calm as possible, but she was really freaking out.

Her daughter might be in danger, who wouldn't be freaking out.

She pulled up to Camrin's house to see her pacing on her front lawn.

"Get in!" Camrin didn't waste a second getting into the car. She was bawling, and so was Julianna's mother.

"Um turn back around so i can show you the way she walks here," The car whipped around and started rolling down the street slowly, they were both looking around for abt sign of Julianna.

"WAIT."

Camrin opens the door before Julianna's mom can even stop the car. She runs out and runs onto the sidewalk and grabs something off the ground.

Julianna's mom runs to her and looks over her shoulder. They just stared at the object for a while, then they flipped it over to see a picture of Camrin and Julianna as the background.

It was Julianna's phone.
