(episode two ; the weirdo on maple street)

A TIRED GROAN SLIPPED FROM THE YOUNG HARRINGTON GIRLS MOUTH as she rolled herself lazily out of bed. She waddled over to her wardrobe, picking out a cute flowery dress to put on. She then pattered over to her desk that propped a mirror on it, brushing her hair with an extremely concentrated face. Willow let out one last sigh before slowly going downstairs and into the kitchen.

Her brother was already sloppily sat at the table, eating a bowl of cereal casually. She was to tired to give him a little 'good morning', so she just silently made herself some of the same cereal. After a few moments of only the sound of munching, the Harrington brother spoke with a mouth full of breakfast. "I'm having a party tonight."

Their parents were on a buisness trip this week. Her Mother wasn't actually needed there, but she didn't trust her husband enough to let him go alone. Willow looked up, nodding in response. "Who's coming?"

Steve knew his sister hated his two bestfriends; Tommy and Carol. They weren't that bad in his opinion, they kept him entertained. "Tommy and Carol," he coughed. The girl let out a small groan and rolled her head back. He lightly chuckled at her. "Come on Wils, they're not even that bad." He ruffled his sisters hair, standing up with his now empty bowl in his hand.

Ever since Steve had one to Middle School and High School, he had hung out with Tommy and Carol. And Willow despised them. The two would taunt her behind Steve's back, sometimes even play with her as if she was a basketball. She also hated that they had made her brother this bully. Of course, she knew what her brother was like at school. She wasn't stupid. He was 'King Steve', and everyone worshipped him. She was just glad he hadn't changed his attitude towards her.

"But they're soooo loud and soooo annoying and sooooo mean," she rolled her eyes as she, too, stood up with her bowl, plopping it in the sink along with her brothers. "They're always so rude to me."

"It'll be fine, kid, just stay up in your room, okay?"

She sighed in defeat, struggling to put her shoes on at the same time. Once she was ready to leave, her bag on her back and her hair tied up neatly, they did they're usual routine to get to school.

                                       ——

Willow was walking to her class when she beard the Principal speak on the PA. "Attention, faculty and students. At 8:00 p.m. tonight, there will be an assembly on the football field in support of Will Byers and his family. All are encouraged to attend. Volunteer sign-ups for search parties are still available in the office."

Will Byers? What happened to that kid, she thought to herself as she reached her classroom. As she thought about it more, she did see the Sheriff in school yesterday. Could be related to the situation, she shrugged it off, not even have ever talked to the Byers boy before, maybe only once to ask him for a pencil in Math class.
