"Anatomically, He does. According to his files, he has not suffered any severe medical injuries to cause a loss of genitalia," Connor cut in, tearing fabric from his sleeve to help with the bleeding that seemed to get worse as this conversation continued. Leon just shot Connor a look of disgust or disbelief. "It would be wise to take him to the station for further questioning."
"I can handle this, android."
"I only want one thing." The guy winced or moaned, Leon couldn't tell.
"Oh yeah, what is it?"
"Lady Gaga tickets." Leon opened his mouth to speak, closed it, then opened it again.
"Done," Connor replied, his LED flashing as he ordered tickets online.
"OMG for real! You just made my day!" Leon accidentally stomped and damaged his leg even more, if at all possible.
"Shit."
"FUCK!!! AUGH WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!" He shook his head, rocking on the ground in pain. "MAKE THAT TWO FUCKING TICKETS!"
"Done," Conner said, taking Leon by the shoulder and pulling him away from the writhing creature to prevent any more accidents.
"If I get the tickets, you get answers."
Connor nodded, his eyes glowing as he opened his mouth, literally printing the tickets out. He handed the still-warm papers to the guy, who looked shocked yet pleased. Leon stared at Connor, his eyebrows drawn together. What the fuck? Those things can do that?
"Okay. Uh, well. Who is Andreas Moore?"
"He's one of the scientists working on the C-virus."
"C-virus? What's that?" Leon pressed. Finally, some good fucking answers.
"It's agh, their um. The plan. Against the fucking plastoids. If people can just see how evil and useless and harmful those fuckers are, then we can get rid of them all together."
"Where is Andreas Moore?"
"Fuck should I know? I just know where his mom lives." Conner could swear he saw a shadow of a smirk on the guy's face.
"And where is that?"
After the victim gave up the location and more than enough information, Leon turned him into the police. He was a harmful terrorist who already committed assault against multiple androids before his capture. He deserved what was coming to him.
Leon retired for the night, finding a local bar. He had enough to think about without the android partner and messy mission. He sat at the counter, unzipping his jacket, stained with dirt, drinks and blood probably. He didn't care. He never cared. It was like all he could feel was frustration or unease, and lately, he had a hard time telling the difference. Slipping a bill across to the bartender, he put his hand in his dark hair, resting in these deep, restless emotions.
"The usual." Leon ordered.
"Sir, I've never seen you before. I don't know what the fuck your usual is."
"Just the usual"
"Sir"
"The usual"
"Are you playing a game?"
"I don't play games. I win them."
"Do you want a beer or something?"
"Don't fuck with me. Just the usual."
"Sir."
"Anything to ease the pain in my black heart."
"Get out."
Leon didn't understand why everybody hated him. He felt like there was no place he belonged. Everyone he loved left him, and now he had to leave the only place he felt belonging. Maybe he was just meant to be a lone wolf. With a tired sigh, he sat up from the chair, before he felt a hand snake along his shoulders pressing him down onto the seat again. He turned to see Ada.
"Whiskey on the rocks for the gentleman." She said to the bartender, taking a seat next to him.
"Couldn't fit it into your schedule, huh?" Leon shook his head with a smile, looking her up and down. A red dress. She liked those... So did he.
"I had a change of heart."
"Women." Leon said to the bartender. The bartender gave him a weird look since she was also a woman.
"You're lucky that you're pretty." Ada quipped, unimpressed with the emo boy's attitude.
"You're lucky that I'm pretty."
"On that thought, I might have an appointment right about now."
"You'll leave me that easily? Typical"
"Don't be like that. You know my work comes first." Ada leaned her elbows on the counter, tilting her head as she smiled at him, trying to lift the mood. She didn't like when things got too serious.
"So do I." Leon was unaffected, or dense. He only realized after a few months that Ashley was actually hitting on him the whole time they were in Spain. Now it was too late, he was stuck in this back and forth with Ada. But he didn't want out of the hole he dug. He was used to it, and to get out would be too uncomfortable. The reality around him was better like this. He deserved it. Ashley wanted a relationship, but he didn't have the capacity for that in his current condition.
"Are you joking about your poor bedroom performance right now?"
"No. I never joke. I'm serious all the time."
Ada sighed. "Goodnight, Leon. Goodnight, juicy ass."
"You sure are eager to leave."
"Only when you're like this."
"Like what?"
She didn't respond as she stood up, her heels clicking against the tiled floor as she left. Leon took the glass, downing it like he never tasted top-shelf in his life. It was always like this. She'd come into his life and as soon as he reached his arm out, she'd pull away. A twisted eb and flow. Like the current in a river he could never outswim. She had him wrapped around her fingers, even if he'd never admit it. And he hated that more than anything. He was strong, yet so weak. So weak. Leon sat in his misery, staring at the scratched lacquer on the wood counter. Names etched into it. A little heart, "L+A". Another one "L+C" A lot of L's, just like his life. A poorly drawn penis, okay this was enough looking.
"I thought I'd find you here Mr. Kennedy." Leon looked up, a calm voice tore him from his thoughts.
"Connor, was it?"
"Yes."
"Can't you see I'm busy."
Connor was silent for a moment. He sat on the chair Ada was in, his hands on his lap as he took Leon in. A depressive drunk. Maybe it was because he reminded Connor of someone close. Someone who helped him when he was struggling. But Connor sympathized, as much as he could anyway.
"I don't know what you are going through. But if these things get in the way of our investigation, it would be best to work through them."
"I'm fine as I am right now, in fact, I'm comfortable here, I love it."
"I highly doubt it."
Leon shook his head at the android, running his fingers through his hair.
"Don't pretend to know me."
Connor motioned toward the bartender, sliding his glass towards the woman who promptly filled it. "Consider this a gift," he pushed the amber cup towards Leon. "To good impressions." Connor said with a slight smile. Leon huffed, matching the androids expression.
"To good impressions."
