The Journey Part 2: Out With The MJ & In With The Aja

A few days later Ava and the others were walking across the Wyvern fields in search of Aja. "It's been about a week. We haven't found anything," Vallen said. "We have to keep going." Jade said and kept walking for a few more days until they saw the portal to Britannia. They went through and walked into Britannia. "Okay, that's something," Vallen said and they walked through the city. They went up to the citizens and did their best to describe Aja. They asked all the citizens but they said no. "Down town and you might find your friend there," An old man said and they left.

A few months later Aja was on a mission. "Good they didn't see me," Aja said as she was running. Then she heard the guards surround some people. She went back and saw them. She dropped down and covered their escape with some smoke. She brought them to the sewers. "Are you guys alright?" Aja asked. "Yeah, thanks," Jade said. "What are you doing out past curfew? You know the Enforcers come out of the wood work around this time of night," Aja said. "Then what are you doing out here this late?" Max asked. "I'm a freedom fighter. I'm always out this late. We're here," Aja said as they stopped at a door. "Oh yeah, we knew that," Vallen said.

They walked into the base and up to the gang's room. "If you're going to lie then do better," Aja said as she burst through the door. "Alright! Get off your lazy asses! We got guests!" Aja said and they all lined up. the group walked in. "Aja, have you been in your mask all day?" Gwen asked. "If I was? I had to cover your patrols today," Aja said as she took off her hood and mask. "What's up, guys. It's been a while," Aja smirked as she looked at them. "Aja?!" They asked. "Yup, guys this is my gang of freedom fighters. Doc, Turbo, Shin, Gwen, Skyvern, Sharken, Terrador, and Grimm. We were able to get them their own bodies, so yeah. Gang these are my friends from the academy. Jade, Max, Vallen, John, and-" Aja was cut off. "Evangelyne her girlfriend," Ava said. "Yup, Eva- Wait, d-did you just say-" Aja was cut off by Ava hugging her. Aja was surprised but hugged her back tightly. They kissed and then hugged again. "I love you so much," Ava said. "I love you too," Aja said and everyone smiled at them.

After a few minutes of talking they started talking about serious stuff or tried to. "So how'd you know I was alive? I had Vixy tell you that I was dead," Aja asked. "I overheard her talking to you on the phone," Jade said. "Of course, Vixy always has to not follow my plans. Eh, I'll yell out of her later. But for now... WHAT WHERE YOU IDIOTS THINKING COMING HERE?! IF YOU OVER HEARD THE CALL THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE OVER HEARD THE ORDERS NOT TO COME DAMN IT!" Aja yelled. "I-I may have missed that one. The fact that you were alive made us want to find you," Jade said. "That's exactly why I wanted you to think I was dead. Well, all my efforts went out the door," Aja said. "I know what you're trying to do. I'm not going to let you do it," Ava said. "Can everyone leave for a minute. Let me and Eva talk for a bit," Aja said and they did. 

There was an awkward silence between the two. They didn't make eye contact. "Why?" Eva cried and Aja was silent for a second. "Because it's the only way, we already tried the sealing spell. It's the only choice we have left," Aja said. "Even still I thought we were in this together, what happened to you?" Eva asked. "I'm doing what I need to do Eva. He wants me and this way no one else has to get hurt," Aja said. "So you're just going to give yourself up? You're going to go with him just like that even though all your families' efforts to protect you?" Eva asked. "I never asked you all to do that. I was the one who told you all in the first place to stop. Besides why would humans get dragged into dragon matters. They never concerned you but you were still there," Aja said. "Because we love you! We all love you! I Love you! That's why! Why would you give yourself up when we worked so hard to save you? Is it really that important you would lose the battle?" Eva said. "Yeah it is but who said that I would lose the battle. If y'all would have listened to me the first time all those years ago. We wouldn't be here right now," Aja said and Eva looked at her. 

"What are you talking about?" Eva asked. "I can't take him without extra power. Before I would be able to take him but since I got this curse I don't have all of my power. Once the night of the Supermoon happens we're going to storm his base and that's when my plan will happen. The plan is full proof but... there's a chance I might not walk away from it alive," Aja said the last part quietly. Eva hugged her, "You're going to make it." Aja hugged her back and smiled. "Yeah, and I like how you went back to your old look," Aja said. "Yeah, I like it too," Eva said. "But, I just don't want you to get hurt or lose you again. I don't want to lose anymore people I care about. I just want you all to be safe," Aja said. "I know. You won't because we're going to get through this as a team. Even if it's just you and me," Eva said. 

A few minutes later everyone else came back in. They all hung out and talked until they fell asleep. Eva, Jade, John, Vallen, and Max were the ones up. "So they literally sleep anywhere," John said. Eva went over to the little beanbag Aja was sleeping on and sat in her lap. Aja put her arm around Eva and pulled her close. Eva cuddled up to Aja and fell asleep. "Look at them. So cute!" Vallen said. "I guess, if you like that sort of thing," Max said and Jade looked at him. They all found spots to sleep.
