The Journey Part 2: Out With The MJ & In With The Aja

"That's amazing! Can you play something for us?" Eva asked and Aja looked at them surprised. "I don't know..." Aja said. "PLEASE!" They begged. "How about I take you guys next time I go to the bar?" Aja said. "When's that?" They asked. "Tonight," Aja said and they agreed. "Yo, Chief. I fixed your armor, come see," Doc said, walking in. "Alright," Aja said and got up. They went to the lab and saw it. "Try it on," He said. She went to put it on and then came out and everyone was amazed. "Nice, I like it. Better than the last one. Thanks, Doc," Aja said. "I'm still working out the kinks for the project you gave me but once that's done I should be able to put it into your suit sleeve. Then your suit will be finished." Doc said and Aja nodded. 

They all went back to the room. Aja was going through her bag when she noticed that something was missing. She panicked and everyone noticed. "Okay, who went through my bag! I'm missing something that's really important," Aja said and everyone shrugged. "Oh, you mean this. You dropped it the other day when you fell asleep working on it," Eva said, taking two necklaces out of her pocket. "Well, I'll take those back now, thanks babe-" Aja was stopped by Eva. "What is it?" Eva asked. "It's nothing, come on, give it back!" Aja said. "If it's nothing then why is it so important?" Eva said and Aja tripped her. She grabbed the necklaces in one hand and Eva with the other. "That's a question I can't answer right now," Aja said as she helped Eva up. Aja put the necklaces in her pocket. 

Later that day Aja was sitting on the balcony working on the necklace while the others were asleep. Then Sharken, Skyvern, Grimm, and Terrador came out. "What are you doing?" Skyvern asked. "Working," Aja said. "On?" Sharken asked. "Something," Aja said. "Okay, it looks like you're carving something, so let us see!" Grimm said and then they saw it. "Oh. It's a betrothal necklace," Terrador said and it took them a moment to process it. "OH! IT'S A BETROTHAL NECKLACE!" They almost yelled to wake everyone else up. "Shut up!" Aja said. "Sorry... so you're going to purpose to Evangelyne? When?" They asked. "I don't know, I don't even know if I should. I mean I would love it too but what if I don't make it?" Aja asked. "Then you'll at least die with no regret. We won't tell anyone but you should ask her," Skyvern said. "But for now just be with her," Grimm said. "Yeah, she's looking a little cold over there by herself," Sharken said. 

Aja saw Eva shivering under her blanket. She got up and went over to Eva in the hammock. She got in with Eva and pulled her closer. "Aja? Where'd you go? I got worried that you were gone," Eva asked as her grip tightened on her. "I just went to get a drink. Don't worry, I'll never leave you again," Aja said. "You promise?" Eva asked. "Yes, I promise. I love you so much," Aja said. "I love you too, babe," Eva said and they both feel asleep.

That night Aja's phone pinged, she looked at it. She groaned then tried to wake up Eva. "Hmm?" Eva groaned. "I have to go. I have my gig tonight," Aja said. "Okay, I'm up," Eva said. They got up and Aja went to wake her brothers. "Come on, guys. We gotta go. Get up," Aja said and they did. "Really, now?" Grimm asked. "Yeah, get your scaly asses up," Aja said and they did. Soon everyone was awake. They headed into the city to a bar.

They walked into the bar. "Hey, Aja! You're here!" The bartender said. "Jimmy, can we get around of drinks and cigarettes?" Aja asked. "Sure thing, you'll be up in a few though. Are you sure getting drunk would be good right now?" He asked. "Trust me, it'll help," Aja said and they got what they needed then grabbed a table. Everyone was just talking and having fun. "So why do you need to perform? They got all these people playing," Jade asked. "Because it's a competition and whoever wins gets the money, so far I've been doing pretty well. One more win and then I won the whole thing. But that's not all, you got people with information and if you play your cards right. You can get a real good piece of information," Aja said and then a girl came over and walked past her. They locked eyes and Aja got up. "I'll be right back," Aja said and went over to the girl. They both sat at the bar.

The gang watched as Aja and the girl talked. Eva got jealous. "What are they talking about?" Shin asked. "I don't know," Doc said. They saw that the girl looked at Aja and smirked. Aja blushed in response. Then she pointed at Aja's pocket. Aja scratched the back of her head and laughed. Then she came back to the table. "So what did you talk about?" Eva asked and Aja blushed even more. "Uh... nothing. We were talking about the information and then she suddenly wished me well on something. It caught me off guard, that's all," Aja said. "Aja! You're up!" Jimmy said. "I need two volunteers," Aja said. "Me!" The gang said. "Eva and Gwen. Come on," Aja said and they went up on stage.

They took a deep breath and the lights dimmed until they turned off. Then the lights on the stage turned on. "Just follow my lead," Aja said, and they nodded. Eva was on keytar, Gwen was on drums, and Aja was on guitar. They started playing.

The girls were surprised at how good Aja was. They looked over to her and she was smiling. She was having fun. When they were done the crowd cheered. 'Wow, I see why she likes this. It's a lot of fun and people like you for who you are,' Eva thought. Jimmy walked onto the stage. "And our favorite underdog of this competition has once again, stole the show. Let's welcome back our other contests. To do so we will confirm our winner for our finals. The winner of this competition will walk away with 100,000 dollars! So who will it be? Will it be a Stinger Rock Squad?" Jimmy asked and the crowd cheered. "Will it be Omega Mega?" Jimmy asked and the crowd cheered even louder. "Will it be Destiny Divers?" The crowd cheered even louder before. "Okay, that one will be pretty hard to beat! What do you think of Lotus? You think you can beat it?" Jimmy asked and Aja nodded. 'I need this money!' Aja thought to herself. "Let's hear it for Lotus!" Jimmy said and then the crowd erupted with cheers. "We have a winner! THE LOTUS IS THE WINNER!" Jimmy yelled and everyone cheered. 

The gang ran up to Aja and hugged her. "Yeah!" Aja cheered.
