"The only daughter of tech giant Arthit Na Ayutthaya, Amara Na Ayutthaya has come back home after spending 4 years in a boarding school in the United States of America".
"Shit". Amara curses ."Why are these people so fast at spreading news" she thought in her mind while walking in the airport, with her bodyguards.
She finally breathes the air of the place she longed to be at since her father told her about her flight back home.
She did call her friends, Thyme, MJ, Kavin and Ren ocassionaly, but she didn't really have the urge to come back home.
But since her only best friend, Angelie left abruptly without telling her anything, she started feeling really lonely so when her father called her back home, she was really elated.
She was born to her father from a former girlfriend who did not want her, so she did not have a mother figure in her life.
Although her 'mother' used to meet her twice a year, on Amara's birthday and Christmas, they had a very strained relationship.
Her relationship with her father was no different. They used to meet more frequenty, for dinner whenever her father was in the USA, but it was only for show. She never had even a decent conversation with her father.
As she was sitting in the car thinking about her friends, she thought of giving them a surprise as she was sure none of them knew about her arrival and her father had enrolled her in the same school as them.
After a 30 minutes long drive, she finally reached home.
As she stepped out of the car and opened the large door, she saw her father sitting on a barstool, reading the news on his i-pad. "Hello, father" said Amara, trying to acknowledge her presence to him. Her father looked up from the i-pad for a split second and said "Hello" .
The next day at school
As soon as she stepped out of the car, she received many stares from students, girls and boys alike, but she was used to this attention so she didn't think much about it.
But as soon as she started walking in the school she heard people screaming 'F4' repeatedly and turned around and saw her childhood best friends all grown up, walking towards the entrance.
They seemed like celebrities which they kinda were, but nevertheless it made her laugh seeing them get so much attention.
They were walking in the hallway when she suddenly went behind them and hit Kavin and MJ on their heads, startling them.
They both yelled, grabbing everyone's attention and all four of them turned back to see Amara smiling widely towards them.
"Amara", Kavin said, "Is that really you?"
"Yes dumbass, it's me" Amara said hugging all of them one by one.
Everyone was startled, seeing the new girl so close to the most famous boys of their schools , but MJ quickly snapped them out of their thoughts and told everyone to go back to minding their own business and give them some privacy.
Thyme linked hands with her hand and took her to their private place, the others following behind.
She sat down on the armchair, with MJ sitting on the arm, Kavin and Ren on the bigger sofa and Thyme on the other armchair.
"Why didn't you tell us that you're coming back, Amara" asked MJ trying to break the awkward silence.
"Yeah, I would've arranged a welcome back party for you!"added Thyme.
"I wanted to get to keep it a surprise and besides, Thyme, I don't know anyone here except you guys and Mira."
Mira was a good friend of Amara. As she was the only girl in the group, Ren would sometimes bring along Mira to their play dates when the group would meet so that Amara too would not feel left out.
"Hey. Don't you have to attend classes?" asked MJ as he added. "Classes start in 10 minutes"
"Yeah...I forgot" she said as she stood up and asked MJ to escort her to her class.
As they stood outside my class MJ said, "Study well but not too much or your small brain will explode ". "At least I have one unlike you."she replied sarcastically.
Amara's pov
I could bicker with him all day but decided against it and went to my class.
I sat down on the first bench of the middle row and studied everything the teacher taught us. Most students weren't really paying attention and were busy on their phones. But I liked to study, I never took it as a burden, but as a blessing.Time skip to recess
As soon as I stepped out of my class, I found Ren standing nearby with his back facing me so I went and tapped his shoulder and he smiled at me and took me towards the cafeteria where all the other guys were.I saw Thyme and another girl, who I could not recognise bickering in the cafeteria. I went near them, and as I reached in front of them, they both stopped fighting, acknowledging my presence.
Suddenly Thyme held mine and the girls hands and took us to the same rooftop we went to before, with the other guys following pursuit. I sat on one armchair, Kavin on the arm of my armchair, Thyme, the girl and Ren on the sofa and MJ on the other armchair.
After a whole of 20 minutes, I got to know that Thyme and the girl, whose name is Gorya, were dating, Thyme's mother was against their relationship and that Thyme's birthday was coming up soon.
"I can't believe that Thyme has a better love life than me" I said as I couldn't comprehend Thyme actually even dating. He was seriously a lost cause, so this was really shocking to me.
Suddenly, Thyme spoke up, "Yaah, I'm sure you must have dated many boys in the USA".
"You're acting as if you don't know me Thyme, I'm seriously offended" I said, while fake pouting.
I did get many proposals from many boys, but there was only one boy in my heart. Kavin Taemiyaklin Kittiyangkul. I had tried a lot to forget him, but maybe it was not enough.
Only Ren truly knew about everything I felt for Kavn, and all that had happened between us. All the others only thought that we were childhood sweethearts, and somewhere i felt that Kavin felt the same.
Then it was MJ's turn to speak, "You know, Amara, our Kavin here is the ultimate playboy, he has hooked-up with more girls you can possibly know". I did know that, but still hearing it from MJ made it all real. Had he really forgotten our promise? I asked myself.
I was lost in my thoughts when Kavin whispered in my ear, "I didn't think you would actually keep the promise" he said and had an unreadable expression on his face.
I couldn't sit here anymore. It was too suffocating, so I made an excuse that dad had messsaged me and got out of there. I went to my car and stood while taking it's support and let all the tears out. There was only one boy who could make me cry, and that too, was Kavin Taemiyaklin Kittiyangkul.
But what I didn't expect was to see him rushing after me and suddenly he was infront of me.
