The distant sound of cathedral bells rang through the air, their chimes echoing softly in my ears. Before me stood a breathtakingly beautiful woman, her radiant smile filling my heart with warmth I couldn't explain.
Her short red hair framed her delicate face, and in her hands, she held a bouquet of white roses. The snowy-white wedding dress she wore shimmered under the sunlight, making her look almost ethereal. As I gazed at her, an unfamiliar yet overwhelming feeling took hold of me-
I wanted to stay with her forever.
I reached out my hand, about to say something-
"Please wake up, groom. The bride is ready."
Huh?
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
The shrill sound of my alarm clock dragged me back to reality. My eyes snapped open, and I groggily sat up, running a hand through my messy hair.
"Ugh... that dream again," I muttered, rubbing my temples. "Why do I keep having it?"
This wasn't the first time. For the past few weeks, I had been dreaming about this mysterious woman-her soft smile, her warm gaze, the feeling of longing that lingered even after waking up.
But no matter how much I tried to remember, I had no idea who she was.
Unfortunately, I didn't have time to dwell on it.
I turned to check the time-
7:40 AM.
"Crap! I'm gonna be late!"
Without wasting another second, I scrambled out of bed and rushed through my morning routine, hastily throwing on my uniform. I barely managed to grab my bag before dashing out of the house.
As I hurried down the sidewalk, my phone buzzed in my pocket. Pulling it out, I saw a message from my only friend, Fuutarou Uesugi.
Fuutarou:Hey, Y/n, you're gonna be late for school again. And by the way, I heard we're getting a new transfer student today.
Y/n:Wow, really? I didn't hear anything about that. But I'll let you know if I see them.
Fuutarou:Thanks.
A transfer student? That's rare, especially this late into the school year.
Still, rumors spread all the time. There was a chance Fuutarou just overheard some fake news.
